Great teacher, very informative if you listen. Very clear on what he wants done. He makes instructions for each week for print out and then explains them step by step during class lecture. You will miss the little extras that make computer use easier, as far as keyboard shortcuts and such, if you don't attend class. Good teacher.

To start off, there is NO POINT TO LECTURE. During the two hour and forty minute class, he will talk about what the assignments are going to be during the week. not explaining, talking about.Oh and if your lucky to cover everything early, he will discuss all the things you can do word. like make letters and will spend SEVERAL minutes showing cliprt

First of all he is not an easy professor and he is also not very helpful with the work he give. He looks like a monopoly guy and he thinks his students are also a computer geek like him. He does n`t care about peoples life outside of the computer class homework. My recommendation is that "Please don`t take him as your computer class professor".

I'm sure he's a nice enough guy, but he doesn't seem to realize the people have jobs. I'm fine with a heavy workload, as long as it's intellectually stimulating! Anyone with a brain should pass this course. Just make sure you have nothing else to do besides 500 Boolean searches.

Assigns an insane amount of busy work. It's extremely tedious if you've EVER used Office and a computer before. He expects the work to be done in a timely manner (to be expected, it's college!), but fails miserably at practicing what he preaches when it comes to grading the work. Still waiting on grades for submitted wk 3 of 8-wk class. (It's wk 7)

Stresses grammar & communication in his syllabus, yet his instructions are marred with grammatical errors. Assigns passwords to tests & when they don't work, he claims it's b/c you did something wrong. However, they suddenly work after you email him complaining of the password's inefficacy. I can see how the in-class comments could be correct.

Take mrs.hefner!my friend and I took the same course with two separate professors!I had to help her understand the work because Barzen is so disorganized.she told me barzen assigned a 25min test with 50q.I took the same one with Hefner and hers was 40q for 40min!As I was helping her understand the work,I couldn't stand him, and he was not my prof!
