Frustrating! I don't think he understands how to teach at less than a PhD level. Unless you have a natural talent/affinity for astro or physics,TAKE SOMEONE ELSE FOR A GE COURSE. HE WILL NOT EXPLAIN CONCEPTS TO YOU. He's the type of teacher to throw you in a pool and yell "NOW SWIM." Not recommended! Also doesn't have office hours/answer emails.

He's a chill professor. Sometimes he makes interesting lectures about astronomy or quantum physics, but I wish he spent more time explaining how to do the problems instead of just copying the solution onto the board. If you're going to take his class, try to take advantage of his office hours, and make use of solution manuals (or online).

Schramm is a cool guy when he's not teaching. He wants to push the "physics of the problem" but is really just doing math. His tests are ridiculous, Im fairly sure a Nobel Laurette couldnt pass them. He will Schramm you so hard its not even funny. Wanna know what that means? Take his class hotshot.

Hardest class I've ever taken, hands down. Everything must be done meticulously in his exact way or you'll just get points off. I naturally have horrible penmanship and he marked me off like crazy for that. Midterms were completely incomprehensible, there were no problems, just concept questions. Only plus side were the labs. No lab reports.

I really was excited about learning physics when I started this course, however this teacher was not the best choice to cultivate that interest. I really didn't appreciate that he took every opportunity to make his students look like idiots. I would never take another class with him, even if you paid me.

This guy isn't the easiest professor, but he is really straight forward. I am taking him for 1D and he is really picky for homework, but if you do what he wants you do well, the first assignment i got a 7 but since then always 9.5. For midterms if the entire class does badly he lets u redo n takes higher score. final is based off hw problems.

TIP: To succeed in this class, kiss the professor's ***. Flower him with praises and compliments. No amount of hard work otherwise will get me an A in this class.

DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. he does not help and expects you to know the material. he wastes half of the class time talking about something that isn't relevant to the course. he can make 1+2 seem like a huge problem. he can make you hate physics. getting a good grade in his class is very hard even if you know the material. he shouldn'tve been a profesor

BELIEVE THE COMMENTS ON THIS TEACHER. I am VERY good at physics, and I still struggled in his class. I did all of the homework correctly, but I got a C average for solely "bad penmanship". He uses advanced calculus WAY over the prereq (one semester). HE REFUSES TO HELP YOU, I AM NOT KIDDING. He expects you to teach yourself the material.

I had this guy for lab only. Not good AT ALL! He doesn't explain what's suppose to be done and he doesn't follow the lab manual. HE ALWAYS MAKE IT HARDER THAN IT SHOULD!!! If you're a master in Physics, then take him. HE DOESN"T TEACH!!! I REPEAT, HE DOESN"T TEACH!!!

Prepare to drop. I aced his final. I know because he gets his test questions from the book but he's so anal about the steps. It's impossible to get a 100% in anything. Try out his class for a month and you'll get what I mean. Take with extreme caution. Even the smartest physics students want him out.

I had this teacher only for lab. He seems to enjoy leaving things out while explaining how to do the experiment then you are confused trying to figure out what to do. If you ask him to explain any part of the lab again he will say I already mentioned it. This is the worst teacher I have had since I've been in college. Avoid him if you can.

I spent almost every week crying because of the stress. He's very picky with steps. Even if you understand how to do the solution, he'll mark off a lot of points if it's not done his way. UNORGANIZED/IMPATIENT/RUSHES LECTURES/DOESN'T CARE FOR STUDENTS/DOESN'T TEACH WHAT'S IN HOMEWORK

I came to this site before I registered this class. At the beginning, I thought his class would be very bored or hard..actually it is not. He is not that bad. He is pretty nice though, much better than I thought.

He doesn't believe in easy to learn and retain approaches to learning algebra (he calls such "cookbook mathematics"). He assumes that anyone who takes his class is studying math and engineering (MATH 3 is a lower division class required for ALL majors). And the type of normal questions you see on his tests are extra-credit level difficulty.

WORST PROFESSOR EVER!!! EVER!!! He'll lecture about topics not covered in the exam. there is only one exam which is just memory based (just memorize the homework problems) he gets all ticked off if people dont show up to class and doesnt explain any labs(he'll also make up stuff as he goes which is useless) worst worst worst
