absolutely horrible. he criticized the class everyday about how terrible of writers we are instead of teaching us the proper way to write news stories. he was no help and was generally nasty. avoid if possible

He is a very dry professor. If you show up to class, watch the movies, and study you will have no problems with this class. His lectures are very boring.

He teaches mostly cinema appreciation and newswriting, so its really hard to screw up those classes either teaching or getting a bad grade. Couldnt imagine him teaching anything hard. Just watch out with the upper level classes

Super-duper easy! Everything is posted on blackboard. Attendance isn't taken. Everything that's on the tests and midterm is exactly what he gives on blackboard. Would recommend for an easy A. Impossible to fail! You don't even have to show up for the movies to know what's going on because he goes over it the next class but hes a super cute old man!

This class is a cake walk. Just go to class and study the lectures and movies, youll get an A for sure. He doesn't take attendance so if you have seen a movie (which you prolly heven't) you don't need to go. Just make sure you memorize main actors, directors, years movies were made, and main terms from lectures. Most of the movies are good.

its hard to rate the professor in a 240person class. he seems like a really nice guy tho, very talkative, sometimes a little boring. the class, some of the movies are tough to get through (please dont show who's afraid of virginia wolf again) & you have to know the top 3-4 char. & actors plus the directors & producers for each film, but not too bad

Cinema Appreciation --> class was easy. Never went because he doesn't take attendance. Posts notes online.. just read about the basic premise of the movies, but u do have to know every actor/director of the movie for matching on tests.. Dr Green is unorganized though.. couldn't work the VCR for 3 wks and forgot to make copies of final

What a liar. He says one thing and then does another. He teaches nothing and gives the appearance of a ****ard. He looks **** half the time hes there. He fires the best tv guy this university has and then lies about it, claiming that he knew nothing. Thats evident in what he attempts - horribly might i add - to teach. A waste.

this class was impossible. this guy did not pay attention to a thing he was doing & he expected the class to know everything he knew. if you're not into memorizing the names of every actor and director of a movie [for the test] then I wouldnt recommend the class. he also lied to me and then avoided me after the fact.

Answers his cell phone in class, grades stories on leads and not the whole article, gives tests on material he only went over once the class period before. He's a nice guy, but the class is a waste of time.

Easily the most difficult to read in Mass Comm as far as expectations. the hardest writing editor I have ever had, and that's what I do for a living now. Loads of practical experience, and Dr Green knows how to write and how to squeeze your best out of you too. Easy-going but demanding. Funny even. Very good prof.

This class is pretty much a joke. Lectures for a while then you watch movies. Tests are somewhat easy, but always gives a curve and will just give you extra points from his mistakes. Dont really have to be there for the movies, cause he reviews everything you need to know the next class. Easy gen ed!!

Easily the most universaly Liked Professor in a very divisive department. Amiable, and easy going Dr. Green is more like a favorite uncle than a professor. He's also legitmatly experianced in his field and can give very sage advice if you ask for it. potential Journalism students would do well to look to him as a mentor.
