She is a horrible teacher! She does not explain things and the class moves way fast. She acts like everybody should know Spanish already and does not teach anything. She has an attitude and does not like you if you don't understand Spanish. The homework is confusing. I do not recommend her and will never take a class from her again.

Rita is a very nice person. However, she is an awful teacher. She gives us worksheets with new material then expects us to know how to do them without actually teaching us anything new at all! Shes incredible rude and gets irritated if you ask questions but encourages us to talk in class. Her teaching methods are terrible. DO NOT ENROLL

I am struggling with this teacher. First of all, she requires you purchase the access key (which gives you an online version of the book) AND the book. Not great at fostering a learning environment, rude, condescending to people who do not catch on quickly. Very old school, traditional teacher. Mad when you ask questions. Avoid!!

What a waste of a class and money. She is VERY rude, and gets offended if you ask a question. She changes her answers and forgets what she says. If you are truly a beginner spanish speaker do not waste your time with this class.

She was rude and extremely unhelpful. When someone asked a question, she acted like they were cussing in the middle of class or something- she made you feel stupid. She would try to joke and it came off as rude. Worst teacher I've ever had.

Rita is a terrible teacher. She doesn't actually teach, you have to teach yourself and rely on tutors if you have any questions because her answers to them are almost always met with a smug face or a rant about how you should know this already. She has a pretty big attitude & although I didn't have many problems with her I wouldn't recommend her.

Comment:
Rita can be a bit edgy and moody, and doesn't like repeating herself, which is obviously an issue if you're a teacher. Her class is rather boring, and her obsession with unecessary group work leads the morale of the class to drop as a whole. no one likes talking in spanish with a stranger. I had her for 101 and 102, and 102 was a real struggle.

I had her for 101 and she was pretty good. Now I have her for 102 and she sucks. She thinks everyone knows spanish already. She also tells the class to ask questions but when you ask she makes you feel dumb. I am struggling in class.

She's nice and all, but if you've never taken Spanish before, then you are in deep trouble. I never took Spanish in high school but I thought it would be fine since it was a 101 class. NOT SO. She seems to think everyone in the class already has a background in Spanish. I had to get a tutor just to get through the class because she DID NOT teach.

I could hardly stand coming to this class, she did not use the time wisely or prepare for the next level what so ever. I had to work extremely hard to even pull the grade that I did and all my prior Spanish classes I held a B easily. She does not teach, she reviews and then expects you to know exactly what will be on the tests. Don't take her!!

She's nice enough as a person, but she is very unorganized and is hard to understand. I really attempted to learn, but she does not explain things in a way that is very easy to understand. I would definitely recommend taking Spanish with someone else.

Basically if you are very good at spanish, this class will be boring and slightly frustrating for you. However, if you are good, but still learning, this class will be good for you. Rita is a very nice lady and very funny. Her class is easy. as long as you do the homework then you are fine. and tests are only as difficult as the homework.

I took her Spanish 201 course as well this summer and it was awesome. She is so nice and helpful. She made class fun which was motivating. Her tests are not too bad and she makes you feel totally comfortable during the oral exam. I think she is one of my favorite Spanish teachers ever!

I took Rita's 201 class during a summer four week course. It was a GREAT class. She was always on time, fair, thorough and very funny. Who would have thought that a Spanish class could be so much fun. I learned a lot. She does a great job at preparing you for the tests. The work load was just right for the class. I loved, loved, loved her class

Wow. Well, I took Rita for 102, and that was a completely different story. Spanish 201 is a much more difficult "intermediate" class, and expectations are so much higher than in beginning spanish. Still, I would say that Rita is probably one of the easier spanish teachers, and I recommend her.

I came into Spanish 102 already knowing most of what was going to be taught. Nonetheless I felt that she was a good teacher, especially since she's from Argentina. She is very flexible, and if you talk to her about your problems or concerns, she will go out of her way to help you out. Tests are really easy, as is the final exam.
