Ana Paula is a blast to be around. She makes learning Portuguese fun, and she is really good at getting the class engaged. If your spanish level is conversationally fluent, you will be more than prepared to succeed in this class. Just make sure to be in class, pretty strict on in-class participation, since it is a language class.

Comment:

Ana Paula is the absolute best. She pushes you to actually learn Portuguese without making the class too stressful. She will correct and be honest with you to help you improve. She knows how to make homework and classwork actually effective, is understanding, and truly wants you to succeed. I bonded with her and my classmates and had tons of fun!

Ana Paula is hands down the best professor I had this semester. If I had any questions throughout the semester, she was able to answer within minutes! Her "lectures" are more like conversations, and I was always excited to come to class. If you need a language class, take Portuguese with Ana Paula!

This professor made Portuguese fun and enjoyable. There are few critics about this class except for not knowing what your grade is during the semester and group projects. The class is very reasonable and in my opinion, made taking a language fun. If you are looking for a language to take, I suggest taking Portuguese with this professor.

Ana Paula is my favorite professor. She cares a lot about her students and will go out of her way in order to help them better their language skills. She is funny and light hearted and easy to get along with which makes her classes much more enjoyable. LOVE HER

She's even cooler now that she's a mom. Now, I may not know a lick of Portuguese, but that's my own fault. Ana Paula went OUT of her way to help me. She offers all types of extra credit like attending Brazilian events or discussion groups. They help!
