Challenging but not impossible by any means. Do HW, go to section. Know the material and your grade will reflect it. That is to say that tests are tough but fair. He'd really like students to talk to him every once in a while (he's a nice guy) - go to OH.

This is a GREAT class. I feel like what I learned was actually useful and super interesting. Go to lecture and section or it will be REALLY hard (but neither are required). The final was HARD but if you know the material REALLY well and are able to think through logically, you'll do well. Do problem sets early, use office hours. Loved it!

Good professor, very nice, always tries to make lectures interesting. Despite being super smart, he is very humble. I do not recommend taking this class as a transfer student. If you don't have a strong background in econ or math, be sure to read the textbook!

Great lecturer. If you can buy the ASUC notes for the class and don't buy the book (never cracked it open). Material is interesting and Powell always has something interesting to say and lots of cool applications. Minimal math required.

I love Robert Powell. If you're an intelligent person, think properly, this class is very easy. There isn't much focus on math, just logic. The problem sets are hard, but prepare you for the exam very well. He's fiercely intelligent, funny, friendly, and genuinely loves his subject. A+

This class was easy for me but hard for many. Problem sets are extremely hard to do when you first learn the materials but the tests are straight from the PS so once you learn how to do the problems I had no problem on the tests. Don't buy the textbook. Powell is very clear so make sure you go to lecture. funny and charismatic guy.

Powell is a very organized person, and tries to explain game theory through numerous examples. He is helpful and is happy to answer questions. A good thing about the class is that the "required" textbook isn't really necessary, so you can save $50. There is only one midterm for the class, a final, and a few problem sets. Would definitely recommend.

Very friendly, down to earth guy. Does a good job of making the class interesting by using real world examples. Lectures are clear for the most part, although he sometimes gets hard to follow. Problem sets are sometimes a bit challenging, but tests are reasonable. I'm not very good at translating things in to math, and struggled as a result.

What a lecturer! He is very clear and very helpful. His lectures are very engaging. The subject material might seem confusing to some people, but you just need to take good notes and solve the problems very carefully just the way he does in the class. He curves the grades.

Awesome professor, really knows his material. The midterm and final were very similar to the previous exams that he hands out, so studying was pretty simple. Would definitely reccommend this class.

Great class! Game theory is actually exceedingly easy if you are good at thinking strategically and don't try to make it bigger than it actually is. Just play within the game! Anyway...he's a good teacher.

GREAT CLASS!! take it take it take it!!! The material is awesome, the professor is engaging, and the course overall is not that hard once you grasp the concepts. The only negative lies with the GSI's-- they were either MEAN or totaly unhelpful.

He tries but makes quite a few mistakes in his lectures or confuses himself every now and then. Explanations could use more clarity and brevity given the potential confusingness of the subject.
