He makes it impossible for you to get a good grade. He doesn't follow the syllabus and his grading methods are very confusing. He never gets back to you from email and he doesn't use the D2l. He leaves his students very confused over everything! His lectures are very boring and seems pointless at times. He is the worst professor I've ever had.

Dr. Akubue left the class in the dark for weeks after the course was supposedly converted to online. No contact! He doesnt know how to use D2L, and actually expected us to mail him assignments by postal service. We should all get a tuition refund for this class.

GROUP TESTS. follow rubrics to the letter. book is nearly impossible to find and you dont need it if you pay attention in class. lectures can be a little slow, but he makes sure you understand the content. he is a wise man. you have to write 5 group papers and do 3 group tests but you can only work in groups if you have good attendance

No risk of failing if you show up and pay attention. And yet knowledge is gained in great quantities. Everything you need out of a university class. If you label this course as "Lots of Homework", the college environment may not be for you.

Very boring class. He doesn't put grades online and waits until the very end of the semester to give you grade updates, so visit him during office hours to get grade updates. Hard to understand and hard to comprehend lectures. 70% of lecture is him going off on tangents. Read textbook in order to pass class.

I'm still in his class for the year of 2019... literally the first 2 weeks and all I hear are the same things over and over. NO structure to his class talks. It feels so last second. His ACCENT IS SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND. Not to mention if you don't like to speak loudly he will ask 10x to understand. DON'T DO his class unless he is the only one.

Comment:

Lecture style, slower repletion to the point where some get bored. Be the one to talk and interact and you won't be a zombie. All things done in groups so day 1 before class get in and find a group that is good. My section got to choose group. Papers: Group lost more points due to word formatting and not single sided printing, than anything else.

Nice Professor and all, with good information, but lectures are long and boring, making it really hard to stay engaged with the class. Most of the info from the class is from the early to mid-1990s. The textbook required is from the early to mid-1990s. The exams are usually taken in groups, but if you have poor attendance, you take it by yourself.

Make sure to show up to class and pay attention. He is hard to understand and follow along with. Always do the readings. Theres is quite a few papers you have to write. Exams are pretty easy as long as you read and study. This isn't an easy class, you have to work for your grade.

Professor uses a textbook older than me. It is an energy course but he uses information from the 1990s. Not up to date with current trends.

He is very dry, lectures are hard to sit through. What irritated me the most, is the at he is not with the times, no emails, no D2L. You never know when stuff is due or what your grade is, pretty pathetic for how much we pay. Also, he uses content from the 80's, I would recommend to avoid him at all costs, I have gotten nothing out of this class.

I think this was one of the most boring classes i have ever taken. It was really easy but you had to come to almost every class and almost all of them were painful.

Took his class and generally found it to be easy. The lectures got boring at times, but he was able to slip in humor to make them more palatable. Working in a group was a helpful setup for projects. Papers were tricky, but doable. Could have gotten a better grade if I worked more. Textbook was one the professor made himself, but relevant to class.

The only reason I am rating Dr. Akubue is because he changed my life forever by opening my eyes to realize that the powers that be exist, and that they are in fact inslaving the human race for their own personal gain. All I did was listen closely in his class and read the book in class. Semester report took me a week to do, and got an A-.

Avoid at all cost. Take the class online if possible instead. You get placed in huge groups to write four 2-page papers. The only plus is you get to take group tests. Still, lecture every single day and movies from the 1990's that are way outdated. Don't take him.

Super boring professor. Don't skip class, 1% is taken off final grade for every day missed. He grades very specifically. Follow what the syllabus says exactly and you'll be fine.

His lectures are really bad, nothing in relation to the tests or exams AT ALL. Makes you go into groups and NEVER reminds you of any upcoming papers due or whatever. You have to rely on your syllabus heavily. Extremely difficult class for a 100 level. Spoiler to my straight A's in all other class. DO NOT TAKE.

He is the internship instructor for ETS students. Be prepared to be completely alone on your whole internship experience. You won't hear a word from him about what you should be doing or how you could be doing better. Not impressed
