LOVE LOVE LOVE HER. Honestly one of the best. Very respectful, funny, and specific lady. This class was the hardest I have ever taken and I TRIED and still got a C. Didn't have spanish background in high school so I was very unaware.

She is strict, but fair, if you show her respect she will return it, but if you show up late all the time and don't bring your book, and use your phone (all things listed in the syllabus) she will call you out on it. If you want to learn Spanish I recommend her, if you are looking for an easy A this is not the class for you.

Only take this class if you really want to learn spanish! If you are just taking for core requirements then you may not be as invested in the material and it will be much harder. You absolutely need the textbook, and Prof. Mukhopadhyay is very sweet but very strict. Make sure you follow the rules and complete homework on time.

The classes I took with Mukopadhay (LASP 200 and 252) are the only classes in the entire major that I got lower than a B. Very unclear in her instructions and a harsh grader.

She is so sweet! Just don't get caught using your phone or chewing gum in class because she is very clear on her policies and will call you out. The tests require studying and she will mark the whole answer wrong if you forget an accent mark. Would take again.

I ended up withdrawing from this class because I did horrible on the first exam and didn't see myself being able to pass. She is a nice woman who knows what she is talking about, but all she does is talk and she doesn't allow time for students to participate. I would avoid taking her classes if you can.

I have taken 2 classes with her and both were about the same. Lots of readings and the class discussions are based on them. If you partiipate in class a lot she will love you. She gives great feedback on written assignments, basically tells you what to change and if you do it she'll give you a better grade. She will grow on you, very nice woman!

She is strict and she does demand a lot from you. However, she is doing her job, she wants you to succeed because she thinks everyone is a major. The only reason she will be annoyed if you are chewing gum is because Spanish is a language where it requires you to speak so....

She is so sweet! I really enjoyed her Spanish literature class. You have to study hard for the tests but it's really just memorizing A LOT of vocab, which is useful especially if you're a Spanish major. Take her! It's totally fine. I'm looking forward to another class with her next semester. She was very nice to everyone in our class.

You will definitely learn spanish with her, but she can be degrading. i got yelled at for yawning. i felt like i was back in high school. be prepared to participate, its mandatory, and if u dont know the answer or pronounce the word wrong, u will get embarassed. the only good thing is that you WILL learn spanish with her.

DO NOT TAKE HER. She is a very strict and unfair teacher. She enjoys callings students out and embarrassing them. Numerous kids had dropped her class and I will be the next to do it. She rarely explains things for you to understand. I do not recommend having her as a teacher, if you have no choice get a tutor.

I would avoid taking this professors course. Her teaching is very dry, she has no shame in calling out students in the class and making them feel very small. Spare yourself the embarrassment and frustration. I would not recommend her, but she does knows the material. I will give her that. But thats about it.

SUPER STRICT. She's extremely insensitive and will call you out and humiliate you in front of the whole class! She has no problem making people feel like crap. The only positive I can say is that she knows her stuff. But if you want to take the risk of being treated like crap then take her. I dont think these teachers realize we're paying them!

i realize it's an elementary spanish course, but that does not mean it is an elementary classroom. repremanding students for chewing gum and yawning is insane. she actually got upset at me for stretching. let her pay the tuition forthe students if she wants it that way. she also tended to pick favorites and some grading was unfair. Overall: C-
