This was a great class! I took it online. He used a variety of methods to teach so it doesn't get boring. The assignments over the top. He always gave great feedback to explain the grade received. I really learned a lot and look forward to more classes from him when I start the education program.

Mr. Ramirez was the absolute best. Could not have asked for a better teacher. He gives great feedback and is very helpful! There was an assignment I misunderstood, he allowed me to resubmit the part I had not realized I was doing completely wrong. Absolutely loved this class. 10/10 recommend this class and Mr. Ramirez!

Axel is an awesome teacher. The only thing that I would have changed is that I wish he would have done a bit more teaching. I felt like we really only learned about the Inquiry Arc which was helpful but there could have been more. He is happy to help you however he can and provides awesome feedback. His stories rock!

I took the online class, which was super easy and actually interesting. The professor always left feedback and comments on the assignments I turned in and was really good at keeping in touch with the students and keeping them up to date. There also wasn't even a final test for the class, just a discussion and only a few 2-page papers. Fun and easy.

Professor was wonderful. He made learning applicable and didn't give pointless busy work. My only complaint is if you miss even a single class period it drops your grade a level grade. I missed one class because I had the stomach flu and it dropped my grade. A little ridiculous. Besides that wonderful teacher.

Axel is definitely one of my very favorite professors! I learned SO much about how to be an amazing teacher and looked forward to his class each week. He was so helpful and supportive throughout the semester. He tries to make his class meaningful and stress-free. By the end of the semester I had tons of teaching resources and gained new skills.

Very interesting class, and Dr. Ramirez was excellent at teaching! The only thing is that attendance is VERY important. I did all the work, and missed just one class and my grade dropped to an A-. He is a very clear lecturer and did a great job focusing on key concepts. AND no quizzes/tests!

Taken him for BYU independent study and it SUCKS! there is no review tests or any help from the teachers. If you are thinking about taking this class, the Jr. High school would have been WAY better

Took him for online independent study for BYU. Some information was irrelevant to the curriculum and he used words that do not exist in the English language (i.e. Forgivenesses). Dumbed down the information so much that it was hard to learn anything. I would not reccommend taking this high school world history class.

I took this class during the summer and it was super easy. Just make sure you go to class everyday, or else he will take off a lot of points. You basically just sit around and talk about ethnic issues. I recommend taking it during the summer because you only have to do 9 observation hours instead of 20.

Comment:
Prof. R is the FANTASTIC when it comes to seeing issues from all sides, & accepting conflicting opinions. I love that. I WAS expecting to learn more about actual teaching. We basically just discussed a few issues (mainly ethnic) the whole term. I am slightly more educated in that respect, but I don't feel any more ready to teach than I did before.
