He is a nice professor. Very understandable to all students. You dance to the movements that he teaches, you pay attention in lecture, and you take the exams. The exams are a little annoying since they are things that seem to be useless if you are not interested in dance. You have to do a final dance at the end of the semester, but it is not hard

By far the best class ive taken in BC. I wish I could take it again. Hes so nice and sweet and makes class really fun. Take the class you won't regret it, its nice to not have to sit in a boring lecture, with this class you just dance. Makes it comfortable for shy kids.

His quizzes are not the easiest by any means, but if you read the packets he gives you, you should be fine, he just words them tricky thats all. His attitude and passion is insane for what he does. He is very funny and very nice, you will love him as a person he does mean well.

Subjective grading, unprepared and unorganized. Comes to class and wings it half the time. At times he would ask the students what he should do.... Extremely weird, he needs to put on socks and stop making racial notes on attendance (yes we know what you are doing).

One of the best professors at BC! Passionate about what he does. Makes class enjoyable & doesn't embarrass students if they do something wrong. Once you participate, show up to class on time and do the writing assignment (compare & contrast 2 performances), you're guaranteed an A. Definitely take him! I wish more professors at BC were like him!

Unbelieveable professor! he rocks!!! he might be the nicest man on the planet. If you take him for modern dance, you will be learning from the best around. This guy worked with Martha Graham, so you know he's good. Very down to earth and a fun class. He's the man!

pretty nice guy who knows how to dance. I do think he moves a little too fast for the people who have no clue how to dance or for the people whose native language isnt English. Otherwise I see no big problems in taking his class. You do have to participate and do two reports on 2 shows you have to attend and thats pretty much it.

I was not interested in taking this class at all, but I had to for a PE requirement. However, I have to admit I actually enjoyed this class. Professor Smith made the class enjoyable and interesting, even for us uncoordinated people (lol). Grades on effort. I definitely recommend Professor Smith.

Excellent professor! Always willing and able to help his students! He can really dance and he gets the class motivated and always keeps the classes attention! U have to see dances but he always tells u about the dances that are inexpensive to help u save money! TAKE HIM! EASY A!

professor smith is a very knowledgable and understands the technical and choreographic aspects of dance. The movement is not easy, but he is very repetitive in an effort for the students to grasp the concepts and shapes. Incredible dance professor!
