Online class so she has everything laid out. She barely communicates with the students, we don't even meet via zoom. She just put up reading assignments that are 50+ pages long and small text so it takes countless hours to get through . Study guide isn't organized or in sequential order of reading. Her TAs aren't much help either. Stuff this class.

Professor Andrews cares about the material, but even more about her students. The online class is hard! There is a LOT of reading- and the reading can be a little dry. I am glad I took it- and I'm grateful I had Professor Andrews.

This was probably the worst online class I've ever taken. Pretty much you read the textbook (a whopping 600 some pages), and take weekly quizzes that are based on just the reading. This class could have been really cool content wise, but it was just a lot of textbook reading. There were two large papers.

Boring as heck. This was a hybrid class and I stopped going to the class because everything was online and she only showed videos in class. The online stuff just seemed tedious and there were lots of inconsistencies and typos and I felt like the information was mediocre at best. She's a nice lady but very monotone. Her class feels monotone too.

WORST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD. It was obvious that she put little thought into all of our assignments- all I ever did was write summaries of chapters. She never taught and I definitely never learned anything. Every assignment was pure busy work and her tests didn't even cover the chapter she said it would be on!! Avoid her at all costs!!!!!!!!!

Useless assignments and disorganization abound. She changed my section into an online class. When she emails you once, she emails you five or six times because her syllabi is so inaccurate. 100% busy work. But, if you want the credits and have a good internship and don't care about grades, do it. That's my deal.

I know it was her first semester teaching this class, but I took another class from her once and it was just as bad and she had been teaching that class for awhile. She is difficult to understand and then when you ask her to clarify she makes you feel like you're the stupid one. Take online course if you have to.

Sister Andrews does not teach at all. Going to this class was like going to Relief Society. She maybe prepares 5 minutes of lecture and then really on student comments to fill the remaining time. Some of the assignments had nothing to do with the class. If you want to learn anything at all take this class from another teacher. NOT easy to get an A!

I went to class 3 times the whole semester (twice were days that i had to be there to give a presentation) and I got an A. She doesn't teach. Nice lady, but I don't think she knows much about the subject matter. I was very disappointed. It's an easy grade, but definitely a waste of time if you take it from her.

This teacher was a bit disappointing. I learned hardly anything. And I went to class and read the book. Her tests followed her review sheets almost perfectly, but then there were 5 or so random questions that would be ridiculous. Makes it easy to do well, but not easy to get an A.

She and this class are bogus. She does not seem to know anything about the language beyond what the textbook says. She does not lecture even once during the semester, but instead relies on student presentations to 'teach' the material. I was excited about the class before I took it, but was thoroughly disappointed. Take something else!

She is a good teacher. She is concerned about her students and wants them to succeed. She is willing to work with you if you are willing to put the work in. I learned a lot and will use it in my parenting. I'm glad I took the class.

This class was great. Two papers, two exams, and a final project. Easy grader on papers. If you go to the review, she tells you exactly what you need to know which is crucial for her tests. Her tests are not an easy A but they are absolutely doable. i would say this is a discussion-based class.

She is an awesome teacher. You have to write two two page papers and one five page paper. They're pretty easy to do though. There are two exams and she basically gives you the answers at the review session. I didn't do any of the reading but just went to class and the review session and got a 97 on the final. She really cares about her students.

Sister Andrews is a super nice teacher!! She really cares about all her students- especially if you take the SLC class. The tests are a little vague but pretty easy if you just do the reading. This class is really interesting for future parents- she tells good stories!

Carolyn Andrews is by far one of the very best instructors at BYU. Her tests are very straightforward and easy to read and understand (unless you are not very intelligent like some of the other peoples comments). Take her...you won't regret it. She is HOTT too. The extra T is for extra hottness!!!

This teacher is nice and class is good- when she teaches. I felt like it was a waste of my money and a waste of my grade though. Her tests are the worst I have ever taken. Not that they are hard- but even if you know the material you won't do well. They are poorly written and hard to understand.

Carolyn Andrews is one of the best teachers I've had at BYU. Her class was great and she is SO fun to listen to and involves the whole class. Time flies by in her class and you learn A LOT about raising children!!
