I loved taking Family Sociology from Professor Miller. He lectures during the full class period but he works to make the lectures interesting and keep you engaged. He has a lot of experience from working as a Marriage and Family Therapist, which brought a unique perspective to the class. He is a great teacher and I LOVED this class.

Dr. Miller is such a nice guy!! The class was super chill and the tests weren't hard. Hardly any homework besides reading (which is kind of a lot and sort of boring) but overall an easy A and I would totally take this again. You can tell he's a really good person and also cares for his students. He doesn't make it harder than it needs to be.

He's a nice guy, but the lectures were pretty boring. We basically read from the powerpoints, no discussion.

This class was SO easy. Professor Miller takes the content from his PowerPoint slides and puts it directly on his quizzes and tests, so it's pretty straight forward. A lot of questions repeated themselves on quizzes and midterms. There are a couple of small assignments throughout the semester and they combine to be your final paper.

First semester teaching SOC Research Methods. No text book and he simplified the info in ppts. He is passionate about what he teachers. Not too many assignments. 3 tests &quizzes & questions came exactly from power points one final paper but you do a few little assignments and stick them together for the final paper. Understanding and a great guy.

I took this class online and it was incredibly straightforward and interesting. There are 15 open note quizzes, and the midterm and final questions are EXACTLY word for word off those quizzes. Then there's a project and a movie write-up and you're done! I loved this course and learned tons of interesting info even though the class was super easy.

Easy class, but sooo boring. Attendance is mandatory. By the second class period I knew I didn't want to major in Family Life, but I still had to sit through all the guest speakers. I guess it's a good class if you are considering SFL. But super easy!

Dr. Miller is the best professor I've ever had. He really cares about his students. He gives great lectures! His tests are fair and easy. This by far was the best class I've ever taken at BYU. We need more kind and understanding professors like Dr. Miller!!

Very good teacher. First day he said that he does not try to trick students or make them do busy work. And it is true. If you study, you will do well. He explains things very well, interesting lectures. I feel like I learned alot. Excellent teacher

Dr. Miller is amazing! I assumed this would be a pretty lame class, because who wants to study adult development and aging, but he turned this into one of my favorite MFHD classes. He is an excellent teacher who helps you learn a lot without making you do too much work.

Dr. Miller is a great teacher! I retained more information in this class than most at BYU. The material is not too hard, just memorize his up and down arrows and study the slides for tests!

Dr. Miller is so great. He knows that college is stressful and his class is not hard. The final is mostly a repeat of the first 2 exams. He explains things very well and his goal is for you to learn(unlike some other teachers)! No busy work except 2 movie write-ups. I learned a lot about aging and it was one of my favorite classes.

I also had Bro. Miller for Marriage Enhancement and loved him as a teacher of both classes. He's an easy going guy with great experience and interest in the subjects. I have heard he and his wife speak too, and they are good people. My husband and I both really like him as a teacher.

I loved this class! Dr. Miller is so clear on what you need to know so it is simple. I felt like he cared that I learn, not that he got a good balance of As and Cs. I had a B+ before the final, but aced it and got an A.
