I absolutely loved this professor! I don't think I would have gotten through without him. All his lectures are recorded which helped tremendously. Lots of homework and lots of time spent on this class. I'm good at math but I'm 44 and took basic Algebra at 15 years of age. He explains VERY well and really helps you understand. Best math professor!

Comment:

CR Messer was amazing this semester. Very clear and easy to meet deadlines for online work. All the work goes into one site so it isn't confusing. Only one discussion post a week. Test are challenging but not impossible.

Just an amazing Professor. Very supportive, very professional, fair, clear in his instructions. He cares about everyone doing there best, knowing that they have support if they need it. Just an incredible instructor.

He makes it easy to succeed in math. He explains complicated concepts in lay person's terms and has a ton of tutors and office hours. He is there to help. There is a ton of HW in the class, if you stay on top of it, you will succeed. I recommend him. He is very organized.

CR Messer will help you pass. His teaching is well and clear. There is no way you can fail this class unless you truly don't understand the material. Even then, he offers plenty of help. I actually enjoyed math because of him.

Comment:

One of the best Math professors I've ever had, hands down. He's transparent with all of his students and does a lot to keep you engaged and working with the material. The homework is done through MyMathLab and his canvas updates made it near impossible to fail. If he's open, take his class. There's a reason his class fills up fast.

He does a pop quiz after every chapter then exam for every 2 chapters. You have to do homework almost every night. He gives couple extra credit on tests but he doesnt do additional work for extra credit. A final is a final. As he said. But he is a very good one at teaching.

Prof. Messer is the best! He makes math easy to understand. He's very organized and even though we have a lot of homework(which I think is normal for a hybrid class), it is doable because it's super easy and straight outta lectures. There's some unannounced quizzes though but you'll do great as long as you understand the lesson.

Professor Messer is there to help every student that needs help. I took a hybrid class, and we had a ton of homework. Once you do the homework and understand the material, you have a great chance to get an A in the class.

Amazing professor! Well organized, very clear, examples in class are pertinent to both the homework and to the tests and quizzes. Has time to answer questions at the beginning of class. He only had one lecture that he didn't quite finish so he pushed the homework date. Attendance is very important if you want to pass, there are pop quizzes.

I took the hybrid class. C.R. does online office hours to watch him work out problems on the handouts. Most other homework is online and is very easy to stay organized, he gives a weekly checklist. You have to try to get a bad grade in this class. He reopens all online homework assignments at the end of the semester to let you get a higher grade.

He is the best professor ever. I definitely recommend him. tests are easy, he gives practice tests a week and so before. 4 Exams worth 75 points. 5 Extra credit in each exam. He has two unannounced quizzes for each chapter.

Took him for math372 and he exceeded my expectations. Really wish I can take him again because he is one of the most thorough teachers I've come across so far. Used online mathlab which cost money but I didn't mind at all. Super fast at grading and is very organized which is always appreciated

Comment:

Hes very nice and explains sections very clearly. However, whenever I went to his office hours I felt he was busy and I was bothering him. Other than that everything was alright. Tests were out of 75 points but overall fair and he gives practice exams on MML before the exam. Practice those and youll be fine.

One of the best math professors ever ! He dedicates a lot of time to make sure you understand the material. He is open to questions. His lectures are very helpful. He goes out of his way to make sure as many students as possible pass. All he requires is that you show up! I took his hybrid class meeting only once a week.

Comment:

I regret taking him but too late to drop :( you need to devote at least 10 hours to do the HW plus 20 hours( as he recommend in his syllabus) to study the materials. He goes into details ( details of the detail). Take Messer if you have time and patience . If you take his math 120 don't take another class, just stick with the math you will do good.

He's one of the greatest math professors at ARC. If you can take him, do it because you will not regret it. He makes Calculus 400 so much fun.

Comment:

Respected and well organized instructor, very accessible but if Math is not your strongest subject, don't take him . I am NOT a math person so I just dropped his class. His exam practice are not the same as the real Exam, pop up quizzes, his questions are like, Q1 Part A, Part B, Part C.....E....F..., Q2 PartA......B..E about 40 to 50 of those.
