Comment:
Professor Tromberg was my introductory to the world of psychology and boy what an introduction it was. He is hilariously opinionated and his lectures, which he kindly records and posts, are 50 minutes of him passionately pouring out the contents of his mind. I was never bored and laughed a good amount of times every lecture. 15/10.

One of the best professors I've ever had, I learned so much in this class and there is no busy work and plenty of time to prepare. Gives a lot of test questions during lectures and is really interesting to listen to. I would absolutely take more classes from Tromborg, he is super knowledgeable.

Terrible: His lectures are all over the place, confusing. He talks too much without adhering to chapters terminology. Thus, making it extremely laborious to take notes about things related to the tests. No study guides. No extra credit. As others have mentioned below, the 50 questions/5 tests are very hard; nearly impossible to get a decent grade.

do not take this professor for an online course. he does not know how to properly lose technology. you will be lost and confused throughout the entire course. worst mistake choosing this course. no assignments, only 5 long exams with strange wording. do not take animal behavior and cognition with this professor. my biggest regret this semester.

He was alright. The way he handled his class was not for me. He lectured for 50 minutes straight (You are not allowed to ask or say anything within that 50 minutes and you have to take notes as fast as you can). Then he has 10 minutes after class of question and answers session. This class was very test heavy, they were extremely hard!

Really nice guy, you can tell he loves what he teaches. The class is pretty easy. It consists of 5 exams, 2 of which are take home, and the lowest of the 5 is dropped. You wont be marked off for attendance but he gives you almost all the test questions & answers in class. He allows a notecard on the tests.

Dr. Tromborg's class was really not that difficult, if you attend class and listen to his lectures, you will pass. He occasionally says "test question" when information that is on the exams are mentioned. The grade in this class was solely dependent on 4 exams (he offers 5, but drops the worst), but everything you need is mentioned in class.

Funny and interesting lectures. I recommend recording classes, as he has no PPT and if something is said once and you miss it, good luck. He is always happy to repeat if needed. Make friends in the class to exchange notes and work on exams. He lets you have a 3x5 card for every exam. I really enjoyed his class

I absolutely loved Professor Tromborg. Took Biological Pysc, Cognitive Psyc, and Animal Behavior from him. All his classes are structured the same. Exams only, but I enjoyed coming to class every day even when attendance wasn't mandatory. He is very inspirational! He motivated me to do well in school overall.

Tromborg is a great guy, while visually impaired he still manages to show slides on the topic he is discussing. This class is graded solely off of 5 exams! No homework, no quizzes, no extra credit given. Very lecture heavy which makes attendance mandatory. Be prepared to take great notes!

This was one of the easiest classes I have ever taken. I took it over summer and so we had a midterm every week, but as long as you go to lectures and take good notes you will be fine. He tells you what is important for the test as he lectures, so pay attention! I never read the book, I simply went to lecture and rewrote my notes and studied them.

Professor Tromborg is a truly awesome professor - he really, REALLY wants all of his students to succeed, and tries his best to engage with the class rather than just follow through the motions of a lecture. You can tell that he's very passionate about what he teaches, and manages to make dry material pretty entertaining!

really lovely professor who is passionate about what he teaches. the exam material is 100% from the lectures so there's no need to get the (admittedly very well written) textbook. he reviews the previous lecture's material for the first 15 min of each class so if you're running late occasionally you won't miss anything substantial!

Tromborg is an amazing professor!! Participation really helps in his class. His exams are take home and based off his lectures. He truly wants you to get a good grade and make sure you're learning what you want to know about the class. We took a trip to the primate center and had a special guest come into class with various animals. It was awesome!

The only grades are from the 5 exams and they're all pulled directly from lecture. He gives out the exact test questions in lecture. I barely used the book, but it's a good supplement if you miss something in class. He's hilarious and really wants you to learn. You're allowed cheat sheets on all the exams, one is takehome. Drops lowest exam score.

He gives 5 tests in the year and no homework, and he lets you drop your lowest test score and take in a note card to the tests. As long as you take good notes in the lecture and bring your note card it's an easy A. I also didn't use the book, so I'd recommend skipping it.

- You won't be graded on attendance/participation, but the exam material is taken from lecture, so as long as you show up and take notes, you're good - Don't buy or rent the textbook, I never even opened it. Just go to the library if you really need it - For an intro to psych class, he focused a LOT on biological psychology
