Had a surprisingly well laid-out online course. Not much effort required to learn and get an 'A'. Do well enough, and you'll even be excused from the final. Highly recommend if you need the humanities credit.

Took his online MUS 222 class. Easiest class I have ever taken. Easy A and easy grader. Just do the work on time and you will be fine. He gives good feedback and is very easy to get in touch with. He inspired me to appreciate the history of music and how it evolved over time. Recommend for an easy A!

whoever is saying this class was hard either didnt try or just didnt show up. This class was extremely easy and also interesting- especially if you love music. I finished with an A (96%) and took this class to fill my humanities requirement. I actually learned a-lot and the work was fairly easy- all you do is study how music has changed over time

Took his online music class, if you need the class for a arts and humanities credit I definitely recommend. His quizzes and discussions are easy. One midterm, term paper, and final. Easy A if you put the effort in

Comment:

Prof. Cunneff is an interesting guy. Very nice and fair. He is a very "by the book", "follow the guidelines" type of professor. He will not bend the rules, so turning things in on time is CRUCIAL! Overall, pretty nice guy, just play by his rules and you're good to go!

I do not recommend this professor to anyone! Popular music of the US is not supposed to a hard class. This professor is also very rude. Save yourself the trouble and do not take him.

Took MUS222 online for Arts credit and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. If you read the material and listen to the music selections ahead of time you'll do fine. Quizzes are timed and allows one retakes. Refreshing change and good choice to satisfy Gen Ed requirement.

Personally, I loved this instructor. You could tell his passion towards music was great & there's no homework- just take home quizzes that you take online, which you can keep retaking till you get a 100. Only 1 term paper, midterm exam, and final, and that's it. You barely use your book & most classes, you just listen to music&watch films. Easy A.

The class is very easy if you're willing to put in the time and effort. Discussions are an automatic 100% if you apply the knowledge from the chapter into the discussion question. Fast replies on emails and always helpful to the student. If you do well enough he will even exempt you from taking the final exam like he did for me! Highly Recommend!

Took this course for an Arts/Humanities credit. The quizzes were really easy and so was the final paper. This is a pretty easy class and I recommend it for an easy arts cred.

I took his online class for pop music, it was a lot more than i thought it was going to be but once you get in a routine it's okay. Prof Cunneff was great, be prepared to read though. Weekly quizzes, a weekly discussion board question, one paper, and a final. Pretty easy.

Comment:

Very good at explaining how jazz works as well as the history. Cunneff is very clear about his explanations as well as course requirements. Quizzes are online and you have 3 chances at each one (he keeps the highest grade). If you like jazz and want to know more about it while getting a gen ed requirement done, this is a great course.

This class was more intensive than expected. I am new to jazz music and Cunneff doesn't do a great job of clarifying its more technical aspects -- which is the basis of the required paper. Don't take this class if you have a bad memory or personal commitments that demand much of your time (I'm a single mom to an active 1yo).

Did the on-line MUS 222 course. Enjoyable course, especially for someone who likes music. A weekly quiz,mid-term, final and one paper. Everything comes from the textbook or his handouts. Helpful, but doesn't tolerate those who don't do the work. Read and complete the weekly assignments, provide reasonable comments and walk away with an "A".

Very professional-attendance affects grade. DO NOT eat in classroom.Frequent announced quizzes from lecture and music listening-buy book and CDS-music recognition on quizzes.Midterm and final from quizzes. 1 final paper on an attended concert. His on line class is very organized. He gives you a lot of time to do the work and 3 chances for the quizzes. I liked this teacher, if I had an issue, he was quick to address it. I would recommend him and Pop Music of the US. Fun class!

He is so passionate about music that you can't help but to get just as passionate. I really enjoyed his online Evolution Through Jazz class. If you like music and you need a hummanitites credit then take this class!

This professor was beyond rude. He doesn't clarify what his requirements are for different assignments, and punishes you for not being able to read his mind. I'm glad I took this class online so I didn't have to deal with him face to face.
