Avoid. We're in the middle of a pandemic with the hardest class in the College of Business, and he can't teach to save his life... AND he makes everything lockdown browser and webcam on. So no one has an idea what they're doing, no one is doing well in the class, and he has to post an announcement about how to drop the class because everyone asked!

TERRIBLE. He is by far the worst professor I've ever had at Bowling Green. He does not explain things well and does not give students support or tools to make the class easier. The only reason I passed the class was his TA. If able, avoid him at all costs. You will thank yourself later.

Easily the worst professor at BGSU. I love business stats class and this man ruined it. He is a tough grader who isn't very helpful on questions. Explains things once and expects you to know it for the test. If you ask about what you don't know, he is terrible at explaining it for you to know. TERRIBLE TEACHER. DO NOT TAKE, especially if online.

Rump is an awful professor: his lectures are of no help and trying to find him outside of class during his office hours will just lead to an off topic conversation. He gave no expectations on the group project. His final exam was extremely hard. I later found out that the Microsoft Solver is not actually used by business analytics people.

Three Midterms plus Final: in class examples and homework are easy but tests are not. OR is a terrible class no matter who you take it with. I think he is better then the other teachers but no by much

Not the best at explaining things. He goes in loops and loops. Gets off task easily. Needs to know that we have never taken stats before and he needs to explain it in a non complex way.

He is okay, he talks to much about his OR class. He is a good guy but doesn't no much on the subject of elementary stats.

Rump looses his train of thought quite frequently to talk about his other class, OR3800. He is willing to help but he just goes through power point slides and moves quickly through examples. If you can pay attention through his long, boring and monotonic lectures, you'll do fine. Textbook is only for homework.

Rump is a fantastic prof. Stats was a difficult subject for me but I liked his teaching style. The homework was hard and I had to do a lot of work on my own to understand the concepts completely. Going to his office hours is helpful if you don't understand! Tests are hard, however, if you study the notes and homework you will get a good grade.

Our brains work the same way and the class wasn't overly difficult. PAY ATTENTION and its an easy class, there is no reading outside and little HW. Kids complain about it being one of the hardest classes but they just don't pay attention, this is BUSINESS SCHOOL not art school (lol@that major). Really enjoyed the class.

Good Instructor, smart and nice guy, but exams are fairly tough and he doesn't really give good prep, as in examples in class are hardly even close to the questions on the exam.

He is a great teacher, unless you aren't the brightest of students. He doesn't teach hard material, the overwhelming majority of students happen to be lazy...which cases them to fall behind. Pay attention and you should get at least a C.

Very tough class, but he gives a lot of opportunities to get your grades up. Only problem is that homework problems are extremely tough compared to what he has taught...you really understand the subject only after he explained the homework and you have turned it in already.
