Really great lecturer but can be VERY depressing (what do you expect from a class about topics that usually end in death?). Do enough of the reading to participate. He's very passionate and very well educated so he wants you to think outside the box with your answers.

Dr. K is very "by the book", he doesn't accept excuses for anything but if you go to class, do your assignments well and turn them in on time you won't have a problem. Make sure that you have a lot of credible evidence for assignments.

He likes the sound of his own voice. It is a lot of reading, but he selects really great books. Do the readings, go to class, and be ready to defend your opinions. You will get a lot out of the class if you do the readings. Good teacher.

Toughest class you will take, but you will learn more than in any other class. Really makes you think, teaches critical thinking. Makes you question everything. Wry sense of humor. Changed the way I think and write.
