You teach yourself, plain and simple. He goes off topic 70% of the class. His test are easy to get good grades on if you know the material to an extent b/c he puts 35 extra points available so a 100 isnt hard to get. I'd rather take Foltz than Small.

Teacher is awful. You will end up teaching yourself and failing all his tests which is why he has to have a 50-60 point curve.I made the worst mistake of my life when they changed the teacher from Shaver to Small and I kept the class.

I took Professor Small for ACC 211 and 212 because it was so easy. The test are worth over 150 points and the paper is graded on completion not on what you wrote. The tests come straight from the HW problems with just the names of the companies changed and dollar amounts. Kinda weird but a nice guy and will answer all your questions.

WHY IS THIS GUY STILL TEACHING? I wound up teaching myself the material. I felt like I was 3 inches tall and talked down to like a 5 year old. It is sad when you know that you are going to fail 1 month before the class ends, and that the professor was NEVER willing to help you when you needed it. DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS, RUN THE OTHER WAY!

Terrible teacher. Always goes off topic which makes it hard to learn material, which is already difficult. Weird, licks his lips alot. High pitched voice which is nearly unbearable. Will never let you out early, honestly wants to keep you there for the 4 hours scheduled for the class. DO NOT TAKE.

Mr. Small is someone that will teach you what you need to know about accounting. He curves his tests by huge measures (40-50pts).homework is gone over before you turn it in, and what he teaches is practically the same thing that he tests on.He provides some humor, and class flies by. Dont listen to the negatives, his class is easy.

Very helpful, he curves his tests by 50 or 60 points most tests, so even if you get a bad grade (you will) you end up with a decent grade. He is boring, but just go to class, because what he writes on the board is on the test The paper at the endhe doesn't look at it. He checks pages if its all there. If you ask him something he will explain it

In the beginning i didn't expect him to be good, But his class turned out to be an easy because of his grading system. You must do the homework to understand the material (mostly he goes over h.w in class so if you get it dont even need to go to class). Paper was graded on completion. MUST use textbook site on ur own to learn material&testprep.

He is an accountant, and does seem to have a slightly stiff personality, but he's a nice guy. He knows his stuff, and can usually communicate it well. Do the homework because it helps you get the concept and do well on the tests. He gives a lot of extra credit on tests, so even if you don't get a problem or two right, you can still do fine.

I could only stand his stiff personality for two classes before I had to drop it. At my age of 36 years old, I could not tolerate being talked down to and being made to feel stupid for another class. I dropped his class, as did several others, by the end of the first week. Get out now and go find yourself a good professor. Run far and run fast.

I found him to be very easy. Take and study notes from class. Do the homework assignments and you cant help but pass the course. He gives extra credit on tests which are very easy to start. He will use his dry sense of humor to teach accounting and about every day life events. I will take him for the next semester.

BORING!!!! Not a good teacher AT ALL! Reads straight from the book and then rushes throught the examples and homework. Uses LOTS and LOTS of videos from the 1960s instead of lecturing, during which he eats his ear wax! I am not kidding!
