Amazing, caring professor. The class is asynchronous with two 15-minute phone call check-ins with him. Low pressure and light course load. An easy open-note quiz and discussion each week, I took this course for the Sa. State race and ethnicity grad. requirement - I highly recommend. (Intercultural Communication - COMMS325)

Comment:

Professor DuBray has a heart of gold! I was terrified to take this class, but Prof DuBray is so kind, easygoing and encouraging. Everyone that takes this class is apprehensive, but you will be just fine. He eases you into your speeches and helps you to feel comfortable. Just remember, everyone is feeling exactly like you do!

Comment:

Great professor. Most classes included a lecture and all you had to do was follow along with the workbook (only a few $$). Weekly discussion boards. Tests are online and you are given 2 chances. Since class is so easy, showing up matters! Attendance participation. Super respectful of other cultures and is just nice guy in general.

Comment:

Professor Dubray is probably the most empathetic and positive professor I ever had. He is super clear about what he wants and uses a free online textbook (only used 3 times a semester). He is also very kind to those with anxiety or have speech issues. Not only an easy A, but also informative. Some class periods are boring but not too many. :)

Professor Dubray was a really nice professor! His lectures were easy to follow and often time he would incorporate videos to explain things as well! There were 8 Discussion boards and 3 or 4 tests. Tests were online and could be retaken for a better grade! Very informative and easy class.

Great teacher, I wouldn't pick anyone else to teach me. He is very personal and although his class is easy it's evident that he still wants you to learn and you do. Every class I learned something valuable, no useless info. His stories were relevant and funny.

Easy class, easy A. I do hate that you can show up with 5 minutes of class and still sign in. Other than that, he cares about everyone and it shows. He does get side tracked talking but it eats time up. 8 discussion boards, 3 exams, and show up to pass final. Over all he was great to take.

The best professor out of my top 3 choices! Very caring, easy to follow, helpful, nice, and very respectful. He's the most sufficient professor for communication. Don't make a mistake not taking Prof. Dubray. You'll easily pass his class!

He is a wonderful professor! He really makes you feel comfortable while presenting, before this class I was terrified of delivering speeches. 3 Unit quizzes based on videos that have the quiz q's within the videos. 3 exams 25 q's each with a study guide provided which is same as exam.

Taking this class really helped me improve on my speech skills when writing/organizing speeches and taking the nervousness out of it. Prof Dubray was really caring and strove to help his students any way he could. Speeches were easy and just had to follow the organization formats. Had some boring lectures but overall it was a great class to be in.

Excellent professor! Anyone who does not take him for Comm301 is missing out. He is very clear in what he expects out of each assignment. Tests were all from the study guide he provides. Show up to class everyday, turn in all assignments on time, do all your speeches on your assigned day, and you will get an A in the class.

I needed his class for credit but it was my favorite class. he made things easy. Homework wasn't a ton that was very easy to do. He's a great guy on top of it so showing up to class was never a problem. take this teacher, youll thank him for how great he is

Sometimes I thought the class was TOO easy, given that I'm a communication major, but his stories delight me every day. He is very knowledgable when teaching intercultural and speech communication, and knows very well how to translate that to students. Super friendly and would highly recommend to all majors and non-majors seeking out a comm course!

Professor Dubray is the nicest guy ever! He is very understanding of students nervous to present in front of a class and offers coping strategies to everyone. He is a really caring professor and an easy grader. Just do your presentations on time and youll pass with an easy A. I was really nervous to take this class, but it was my favorite.

SUCH an easy class! I reccomend this prof, he is funny and is clear on what he wants. He gives you alot of time to complete assignments. The book was only helpful to me when I took the online quizzes (which I think there are only like 4 or 5.) Attendance is HUGE, I would have gotten an A if I didn't miss so much class.

Professor Dubray is one of my favorite professors at CRC! He's the one you want to take if you're hesitating to take a COMM class. I learned a lot about how to work with my stage fright when presenting and how to write a good outline. It's easy to pass if you attend, do the outlines and present, and participate in other's speeches.

Its not about getting an A as a grade in this class. You actually learn a lot from him. You learn not to be nervous when speaking in public. You learn to write an outline. You actually feel good about yourself after his classes. Isn't that enough and better than getting an A. By the way you can still get an A dont worry.
