I took Boatright my first semester to complete one of my core sciences, and enjoyed his class. The clickers he mentions in the syllabus are a must if you want to do well in the class, as he has lecture questions almost everyday. His tests are not terribly difficult, and he is a very fair grader. I would definitely recommend him for CHEM 1211.

Boatright teaches at UNG even though this says West Georgia. I had him for chem lab and he was really easy. As long as your group does well on Tophat and lab work you'll be fine. There is a TA that helps out too. Just show up and you'll be fine. I had no idea what I was doing the whole year and got a 94 in the class. Don't hesitate to ask for help!

Boatright was a great lab professor. He was willing to help everyone whenever they had a question. He was always willing to help even outside of his office hours. I am taking him again for 1152 lecture.

tests are hard but he gives you so many chances to understand whats going on in this class. use his office hours and apply yourself or you will not pass.. has a great sense of corny humor. clicker questions help a lot. just try to participate, and actually go to class. I did bad in the class but I didn't take two of the tests and still passed

Dr. Boatright is a great professor. He jokes around and makes lectures more interesting. His tests are pretty difficult, but as long as you pay attention, do the homework, and do a little extra studying you'll be okay. He has lots of office hours so definitely use them. And go to workshop because it'll help your grade a lot.

Dr. Boatright is awesome! He makes sure you actually understand the material. I have had Boatright for general chemistry, organic chemistry, and forensic chemistry. It is true he is sarcastic but his sarcasm is funny (not his jokes). His office hours are very helpful! Great all around professor (sometimes counselor , haha) I totally recommend!!!

DO NOT listen to all of the reviews saying "he is a terrible teacher" or "has no respect for students". He is by far one of the best professors I have had at UWG. Chemistry is a hard course so you will have to study. If you can do the homework you will make A's on the tests. He is also very good about responding to emails. Good office hours too.

He has a flip the classroom approach so he didnt teach anything. You literally read the entire textbook and have homework online. Not exaggerating. You have to read the textbook. In class he didnt lecture, he gave clicker quizzes over the material you had to teach yourself. he told us he makes tests for the avg to be a 70. worst teacher ever.

Boatright was pretty clear about the flow of the class the first day. He told us 50% of us will fail. No extra credit and no last minute work opportunities. I ended the class with a high D and when I asked for some form of help he said maybe next time I shouldn't wait for help at the end. Even though I've visited him during office hours before.

Boatright is a great choice for chem. He is very clear in his expectations. He tells you exactly what to do to get good grades in his class an on assignments. & hes funny and sarcastic. Tests are mostly multiple choice with like 5 open answer questions. COME TO CLASS. participation can be the difference between an A or a B in the class.

Best Professor At UWG! Chemistry is only difficult, if you do not put the time and effort into the subject! Time management and study skills are learned as well in this course! With that being said, you're not only getting the chemistry aspect, but also a life aspect with Dr. Boatright! #HomeworkAssigned #ClickerQuizzes

Dr. Boatright is an amazing professor! Chemistry is a hard subject, especially the higher up you go, but he makes it fun by making jokes and getting the class to laugh. He's more than willing to answer any question and answers all of them! He explains the material great! The homework is really there to help you practice1 Definitely taking him again

Dr. Boatright is an amazing professor. Yes, he is very picky about the free response questions on his test and he can be sarcastic, but he is all for helping his students understand. He has plenty of office hours, and he encourages people to ask questions. Chemistry isn't always easy, but if you actually try, his class is not hard.

This class was difficult. Boatright makes it seem as though he will help you in his office but when you go, he watches you struggle. When he realizes that you cannot do the work, he laughs and says that you're stupid because "he explained it in the lecture". He also says before almost every test that "half of the class will fail"
