Comment:
This class is non mandatory attendance as he does not take attendance but even if you read you will miss important tested material that is specific to lecture. He is very knowledgeable and enjoys class discussion. Your grade will go up with active participation. His essays are tough but if you study and write decently you should be ok.

Not the greatest professor. Yes, he lectures, but his lectures are horrible. He is all over the place. The information presented does not have a cohesive order, whatsoever. I would not take this class

I really cant understand the negative feedback. Yes, he mostly lectures but he only teaches lecture courses! He has firsthand knowledge and his lectures are great. He is also a very sweet man and always willing to help if you're willing to ask. he really cares about his students.

Very knowledgeable professor--especially in the fields of late 19th and early 20th century American history and American labor history. Lectures are well-organized, very well-delivered, and very entertaining as well as educational. Breaks up lectures often by asking class to comment or for questions.

I can assure you that he is not qualified for his position. His ways of teaching need to be changed by becoming clear with the information. More class interaction needed. He allows his personal beliefs to be added to the course's teachings. If anything, he should respect students before working on his teaching abilities. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Limited knowledge, relies only on one text to explain world policies. grades tests very sloppy. Says so many wrong things in his lectures I've stopped even bothering to try and get him to clarify.

He does know is stuff and you will get a lot of good information in his lectures. But be warned he is not an instructor that uses visual aids. He will stand in the front of the class room and talk, which can get a bit boring at times. But if you are not a History Major and need an easy history grade to get your gen ed requirement then please pick s

The most BORING class I've ever had to take. I am a visual learner, so him standing up at the front and just talking on and on with no notes or powerpoint was just torturous and not effective for me at all. Bad experience.

He seems to know history pretty well. Good teacher, but the class is somewhat difficult. It's a very basic lecture, no Powerpoint or notes or anything, just him talking. If you learn well that way, take his class, but if not then avoid it.

Im not much of a history person, but I really enjoyed this class. Professor Goldberg really knows his stuff! The material is quite interesting! Attendance isn't mandatory, but I suggest you go everyday! His tests are based on his lecture material! If you attend class on a daily basis and take good notes, you will do just fine!

Great professor. He really knows his stuff and he truly wants you to learn. Unlike many profs, he relies heavily on class participation. Gives a study guide for the exams and extended deadline for the term paper. I would love to take a class with him again.

An OK professor overall. If you show interest in the class and participate, you should do well. He's not a particularly demanding professor. Several student seemed to skip class regularly without reprimand. Reward and punishment comes with your grades at the end of the term. Otherwise, he is pretty easy to get along with.

I took two classes, scored an A each time - he makes you work hard but you will learn something! That's why I was there! If you do the work you'll be rewarded. This isn't an 'easy' class type professor. He is slightly biased with his opinions but he knows his stuff.

Fantastic professor. Was highly surprised seeing all the negative reviews, oh, but wait - the world is full of morons, so that should refect on this site. The bottom line is, if you can get your ass out of bed and get to class - you'll do fine - that is, if you have a few extra brain cells to burn. Very knowledgable and helpful to students. I'v
