It was fine. Shes pretty underwhelming, gives a lot of reading, a lot of small assignments, doesnt seem to care about you or the class very much, poor communication skills, and is best described as MEH. So if you have to take her it wont be that bad but there are better options.

Very unprofessional in her communication skills. Has a tremendous lack of empathy. Does not care about your well being, nor your situation. So if you plan on telling her what you going through, just she doesnt care. Horrible professor, I DO NOT recommend taking her class. Bad experience.

I took this class online and it was definitely a more involved class. Lecture videos were lengthy and there were many assignments due each week. Tests were only slightly difficult. However, with all that being said, this class is absolutely doable. If you devote the necessary time to get assignments done, you should pass the class with no problem.

...(cont'd) I aced the exams while others complained about the material once i figured out how to study...remeber 80% from slides on that exam study guide 20% from what book says about author and shows.YOU HAVE TO READ AND MEMORIZE ALL exam study guide slides. I aced the exams...take my word for it.

DON'T copy slides from lectures-wait until she posts the exam study guide on blackboard.STUDY THAT EXAM GUIDE/SLIDES names and dates!!(it's 80% of EVERY exam)..other 20% will be questions that are answered in the reading chapters she puts in the syllabus..most ppl go wrong when they don't read the chapters about the artists in the book.....(cont'd)

Her study guides/tests were far more extensive than her lectures. Grades hard. Knowing dates is crucial (like any Art History class). Don't take this class if you expect an easy elective. You don't need a textbook!

I had to take this class for my major and I wasn't really interested in it but it is pretty interesting. The only thing I would have to say is there is a lot of memorizing the dates and works of art. Sometimes the lectures can be a bit boring but other than that it is a pretty easy class.

Take very, very good notes. You will never get a perfect grade on anything, no matter how hard you try. Boring lectures. Test material comes from PowerPoint slides, you just have to memorize all hundred of them. Be prepared to memorize LOTS of dates. LOTS!

The class in itself was not that difficult. But Ms. Dallow's lectures were excruciatingly boring and she was very childish when handling many situations. Her attendance policy sucks, and and she grades essays too strictly.

Dr. Dallow is one of the best professors that I've had at UAB. She is very easy to follow. Tests are a little bit challenging, but she gives you a study guide. As long as you know everything on there you should do fine on the tests. Pay attention in class because whenever she repeats herself, it's sure to be on the test. Easy A.

I thought this class very very interesting and very easy. If you go to class, pay attention, and put a small amount of time into studying, there's no way that you can't make an A. He trys to be strict and hard in the beginning, and tells you to go drop the class. Don't believe him...at the end he drops a grade and scales.
