Comment:
His classes consist of just him speaking and at times he may be difficult to understand. He always gave take-home exams that were just matching terms and a short essay and a long essay. It was all easy, you do not have to pay attention in case much; just show up. He is nice but is not up to date on all of the art history terms.

Dr. Lewis gives great lectures and makes the works every interesting. But his exams are hard. It involves vocab which you will need to ask him for definitions because their his own and theres always an essay part which he wants you to incude a lot of details. He also gives you a study guide with 60+ Artworks that might show up on the exam.

His teaching style is great, his lectures are fun and involved. But, his tests are ridiculous. Example of exam: 1/3 is matching/multiplechoice, 2/3 is naming painters, the name of the painting, and the style of the painting all from just seeing the painting, and 3/3 two essays. 1st test there are 29 works and 24 artists, all of which are italian.

He is a very good teacher because he is so animated when talking about interesting topics. He cracks jokes here and there. He also is very inspirational and would talk about his family a lot. I think it makes him more likable and relatable. He does a good job at teaching. Love him!

There are few people more passionate about art history than Dr. Lewis is. He is SO nice. He gets visibly excited during his lectures and is fun to listen to. His tests are not hard at all if you study. If you're respectful in class, and have good attendance, you will have no problem succeeding.

GREAT TEACHER!!! ya I got a C in the class but I missed a lot of days, and I am not a very good test taker.... He is interesting and GREAT!! he made me wanna take him again.. I would RECOMMEND him way before I would ever tell you to take carington she is complete opposite of him! HE IS WONDERFUL! take if you have the option of him or her TAKE HIM!

NEVER around to help! Even if you have a scheduled appointment with him! He doesn't even pay attention to you when you have an appt! He knows his stuff, but it is sooooo BORING! He sounds very interested, but it doesn't help you if you aren't.

D- for his teaching skills. Never use to be the Chair & acts as if he has too much to do; i.m.h.o. - uses is as an excuse. He could socialize with his students more or risk being not warm which takes away from the class! At times often comes off as extremely boring. He's talked down to students. Bad
