She is a nice person but scatter brained. I don't suggest taking her class for FYE she gives unnecessary homework like 5 page papers. She tries to push her class and her club onto you. If you mention you like something once she doesn't let it go. Like i said she a great person but as a professor (for FYE at least) not the best.

I took Professor Vecchio for honors hist110. Lectures for the entire class. She is very willing to meet with people during her office hours and is very passionate about history. Friendly but very tough. There were weekly papers and the exams were challenging.

I love History and she made me hate it for the semester I had her class. Very boring class. I got excited once because she was going to show us a video and the video was more boring than her. Nice lady but just one of those classes that never end and feel like forever

she is a very helpful professor but you need to study a lot and take notes in class. she is a hard history professor but I would recommend taking her classes because she will always answer every question that you have for her. trust me you will love this professor she is always full with joy and she cares about her students very much.

I hated history but Dr. Vecchio made it easy and interesting. She is very helpful, she answers questions and emails promptly and is flexible to meet with students. Her tests are essay style so read your notes and take notes. you need the books but she uses videos and stuff too. She obviously loves what she does and is a good teacher. good luck!

Everyone is right that she is the best history teacher. I'm taking as many classes as possible with her. She lectures a lot but she is really helpful and connects with the students well. Quizzes and tests are usually pretty easy and the term paper isn't hard.
