This professor is a great guy, but beware - even though his tests are multiple choice they are HARD. He makes study guides but he doesn't put everything on there you will need to read. Otherwise, he's a fair grader and offers a lot of extra credit.

Took a hybrid course with him (Tuesday in class, Thursday online). There's 4 Ted Talks you have to relate to class material, 2 extra credit Ted Talks (10 pts max each), and he posts lectures online. Thing to note: the wording of his questions comes straight from the textbook, so maybe getting it would be smart. You can pass without it, but just btw

Really nice professor, gives out the best study guides before exams. Only have to do a few one page papers about some ted talks. definitely would take again

Dr. Engwall presented the course material in a very clear, understandable manner. His online lectures are very helpful, and he has a great sense of humor about things. His quirky jokes make it easy to remember the material. I really enjoyed his class. The tests weren't difficult, and the material was actually interesting.

He's a nice guy but tests and material are hard. I would study and just scrap by with a B but maybe because it is actually much more of a science class than psychology which is not my forte. Unfortunately, class is mandatory unless you take biopsych so no good options. The book is super confusing and not really necessary because of his powerpoints

Hybrid course was extremely easy, would meet one class and watch online lecture whenever. Online lecture is not mandatory. Offers extra credit opportunities that you can hand in by the end of the semester. 5 question quizzes once a week, but he went over info before giving the quiz. Exams are not too difficult. Really nice professor!

He's sweet and very nice. There are 4 exams, and he offers extra credit and bonus points. The book is a little boring and sometimes hard to understand, but his powerpoint slides help with that. I recommend him and any class he teaches!

This is my second class with professor Engwall! He is awesome and makes his lectures very interesting. As long as you study and attend class regularly you'll be golden. He gives you an extra 20 points for watching videos in class. Highly rated professor!

It's a very hard topic for the class is more about actual bio science than psychology, making test very unfamiliar and hard! But he's a great professor and offers multiple easy ex. credit opportunities throughout the semester and for every exam, making it so even if you don't fully grasp the subject you can probably still get by and pass the class!

Love this guy, hes so laid back and cool. Engwall realy cares about his students. The material is really hard to understand and he does a great job to help one understand as much as he can. Proffessor Engwall gave us close to 47 extra credit points which helped our grades dramatically.

Dr. Engwall is by far one of the best psychology professors I encountered. BioPsych is a very hard subject matter. Having said that, Dr. Engwall makes it easy and it takes incredible talent to make a hard subject easy. The best part about the class is that the PowerPoint slides are listed online, meaning you can print them and bring them to class.

Fantastic teacher!Now my 113 comments, teacher gives 10 assignments some assignments you must attend classes because people come in to talk and you must do the assignment based on what the person taught. Follow the syllabus guidelines and you will do great!
