Not going to lie, This class is the most difficult class I've ever taken. The papers are really tough and he's a tough grader. However, this man is so nice and genuine. He will always find a way to work with you, and he cares to get to know every one of his students. Edmund is tough in the sense he thinks you can always do better for yourself.

Dr. Wehrle is one of those professors who truly cares about his students, as he makes every effort to get to know you and is always happy to help! He also roasts his students, and himself, and it's hilarious! His class has changed the way I write papers, all for the better. Overall, Dr. Wehrle is a great choice, you won't regret taking him!

Worst professor I have ever taken. I am a straight A student for 3 semesters now besides this one class that I got a B in. Do NOT take him if history is not your strong suit and participation really matters. He also does not give nearly enough time for assignments.

Comment:

Dr. Wherle is a great teacher! Very clear with his directions and always willing to help a student out. His midterm and final are both in essay format so make sure you brush up on your writing skills as they can be a little tough.

I do not like History at all, however the class is not hard to pass. There are no test, only 2 papers and the midterm and final which are essay form. He is a very nice man and willing to help you pass.

Terrible teacher. Obviously an incredibly smart guy, but he is not good at relating the information to the class. Also very condescending and rude. Grades are weighted unevenly. Could have an A throughout the semester and end with a D because of your final exam. Exams are ridiculously hard. Don't put yourself through it.

Wehrle is the absolute best! By far the best teacher in the history department. His impressions of historical figures are hilarious and he's very knowledgeable about his subject. Go to class, don't screw around, and do the reading.

Great Teacher. I'm not that good of a writer, but Dr. Wehrle really helps you become a better writer. Very understanding and down to earth. Wish all instructers were that way. Would recommend him to anyone.

He is always off the topic. We never get to finish the notes for the class period and he always throws them into another day's discussion that doesn't have to pertain to that specific topic. He only gives 2 tests, the midterm and final, and his papers have to be perfect, they are a HUGE part of your class final grade!!!
