I took him for Intro to Programming, and found myself up until 4 am stressing out trying to figure out what he wanted. Ridiculous class not worth taking. He is willing to meet with you outside of class, and is a very nice man, but his class is ridiculously difficult.

not the easiest class. you will have alot of projects. only a couple quizes, a midterm, and a final. if you listen in class and do keep up to date on the projects, you will do fine. dont fall behind. overall, great professor, understanding, very good knowledge on subject being taught, 4/5

He is a very helpful teacher. He is willing to listen to student's complaints and works hard to become the best teacher he can be. If you take him, make sure your programs are perfect and figure out exactly what he wants. Also, read every test/quiz question carfully, he sometimes throws curve balls.

Wei is a VERY GOOD teacher, and will help you if you are stuck on something, and overall is a really great guy. But if you haven't taken a programming class before, you could be in trouble. I dropped his CS165 mainly because it was extremely difficult. The TAs for 164/5 are harsh as well. Take caution.

Wei's classes are not pushovers, with a good number of involved labs and projects throughout the classes. However, he is an excellent professor who likes to get to know his students and is willing to work with you until you get it. (He stays long past office hours.) If you do the work, you'll get the grade and a good education.

This class could not be easier. It takes a decent amount of time to actually write the programs but Wei is willing to stay until you get it right. I have seen him in his office until 2:00AM on many occasions helping student. Wei is the shizzy.

Very good professor, always in his office to help people out. Explains concepts very well. Could be a bit more clear on his expecations and requirements for assignments. Negative ratings from non CS or CpE majors should be ignored.
