Nice teacher. Her slides are well-organized but lectures are a little boring... Readings a lot but doable, and the majority are interesting. Must do the readings or youll lose in lectures and fail reading quizzes. Not a hard grader and most of time she gives you a satisfying grade as long as you show efforts in papers/exams.

Professor Ferry is a nice person, but her lectures bored me to death and I could not stop staring at the clock. She did not give clear grading criteria at all which made papers extremely difficult to write not knowing what she was looking for in them. The assignment for the final paper was vague since she does not give any suggestions of topics.

While she was friendly, I would NOT recommend her as a professor. Our class was purely discussion-based, and I ended up learning more about my fellow students' family life than the subject itself. I felt that this class was a huge waste of time and money. Also her assignments were unclear and often didn't reflect the little bit we were taught.

Dr. Ferry's SAT scores are most likely better than mine are and "Return to Laughter," a book she assigned, was good. Sorry.

Prof. Ferry is one of the most amazing professors at Brandies. She is kind, knows her stuff, and makes every lecture interesting! You have to work in the class to get the most out of it, but if you do the readings you will love it!

Elizabeth Ferry is a wonderful professor! She made the topic interesting and is very approachable and helpful. She's completely understanding regarding extensions on papers and I never felt that the lectures were boring. I was engaged in discussion and felt comfortable participating. Definitely one of my favorites!

OK, so I like Prof. Ferry, but, I am not impressed by her teaching style. Anth Inq. sucks, but all of the anth req. are made to blow!

Great class. Interesting topic. Lot of reading. Grades papers fairly. Allows you to submit your papers early so she can revise them and make suggestions. I would suggest that you have a general background in Anthro before you take this class, although it is not necessary.

Elizabeth Emma Ferry is one of the most helpful professors I've ever had. She's incredibly nice and funny and always available for guidance, even when she doesn't have office hours. I am not an anthro student and had not taken an anthro class before (nor since), but I would love to take another course with Ferry. She really did make anthro fun.
