easy grader but when you make a mistake, it feels like she's yelling at you and condescending. some people like her but for others like me, she gets under my skin. just do the work and study, and you'll do fine in the class

If you're a slacker or have a horrible Chinese accent, prepared to get fussed at.(she will put you on blast) Don't miss class!!! Makes the class way too easy, homework everyday, silly in class exercises, prof. is generally unprepared. If you want to be introduced to Chinese, you should take it. If you want to become fluent, look elsewhere.

an easy class, but not an easy language, so something must be lacking. she's generally irresponsible and scatterbrained, and does not do much to teach the language (save for countless repetitive handouts). tests are easy as long as you study what's in the book.

Not the most productive class. I transfered in to 201 and felt I was learning nothing. Easy to get a good grade, but i suggest using the tutor if you're really interested in learning Chinese quickly. Most of the in-class assignments are pointless, like coloring to learn the names of colors.

Easy tests, read stories she assigns and be able to talk about it in class the next day. She will get grumpy if you don't. She loves Chinese language and Chinese Literature. Pretty easy class.

Great teacher. She loves her subject and wants you to learn Chinese, most helpful. She gives you work that keeps you practicing and it really helps you to memorize.

I have taken Ms K for three years and I pretty much agree with previous comments about her. And she really loves China and Chinese, which is most important.

Amazing and fun teacher. She is a bit scatter brained, but it doesn't affect the class very much. She has frequent tests that are very easy as long as you study the grammer and new characters.

I've had 3 classes with Dr. K, she's a real nice lady but does have "her days." She's also capable of pissing people off; can be moody but the class is quite entertaining, not hard at all, just have to behave yourself-try to put up with her on o

The class becomes close knit very quickly, teacher knows her stuff but can ramble. Also occasionally unclear when answering questions. Still a very fun class.
