Comment:

Great person and loves to talk, however, I don't think he's the right professor for this class. He talks the whole time and goes off-topic A LOT. He starts rambling about other things to the point where you forget what the topic was in the first place. Our grade in the class relied on just 3 exams, there's a 6-8 page extra credit paper... DO IT!

Comment:

Only has three test so only three grades. Took him many times. Study guide helps but most of the time half the stuff on the study guide isnt on the test. Attendance is not required at all.

Comment:

This class is extremely hard if you are not good at tests. Only grades received were 4 tests... they are curved but I still didn't make higher than a B on any of them. His lectures are also very hard to follow and seem very philosophical. Attendance is not counted but you will most likely fail if you skip unless you are just an expert test taker.

Comment:

Professor Dodson is a really cool guy with some awesome insights, however, his vocabulary can be quite expansive during lectures. He sometimes goes off on tangents, but I think it is just because he is so passionate about psychology. Overall it was a pretty easy class if you show up and pay attention.

All around great professor. His lectures are extremely colorful and relatable. He explains things in a way that makes the content much easier to comprehend. However, his tests are a bit different than his lectures. His lectures are vert inspirational, but his tests cover mostly the readings.

Dont take this class if youre looking for an easy A. He makes you work for it. His test are multiple choice but are tricky! I personally wasnt interested in this class. You need to decipher what hes talking about. But on the flipside! Hes a pretty cool teacher! Super nice and not mean at all. Three test and does curve. Like three points.

Comment:

Dr. Dodson was a life changing teacher for me. I took his classes from 2005-2009 and they are the only part of college I remember. I graduated from UWG but have never used my degree for any job. I did however, learn from Dr. Dodson entirely new ways to perceive my existence as a human being. I live a more fulfilling life b/c of his classes.

Dr. Dodson is a GREAT professor! His tests are STRAIGHT OFF POWERPOINTS (and a few videos he show in class also on his YouTube Website). He posts the PowerPoints online and they are not lengthy at all. Tests: straight forward & basic questions. He tries to make us laugh and he's a goof. Cares about our performance in class. One Extra credit paper.

Next semester will be my third time taking Dr. D. Seriously the best professor I've ever taken. He provides his own detailed notes posted online and the tests are literally verbatim from the notes. He is so insightful and inspirational and is willing to help ANYONE. highly recommend taking Dr. D.

Dodson (or Dr. D) is AMAZING! He's kind of a quirky individual - he talks about murder quite a bit, but he's amazing. Only professor I've ever had to make up a whole rap just to get his point across about Existential Psychology! He'll work with you if you make the effort.

He's a great teacher! Had him for a 9am Fall 2016. He's easy to talk to during office hours and very understanding. He's very inspirational and his tests aren't difficult. Tests are straight off the study guide, he gives you exactly what to know and it's on the test. Attendance isn't mandatory but what he shows and wears to class is on the test.

Dodson is a great professor. I had him fro Humanistic Psychology & received an A in his class. Attendance is not mandatory! There are only three test the entire class and one extra credit paper at the end that is worth 8 points. All three test directly follow the power points that are posted online. Study powerpoints & you are guaranteed to pass

This is the most boring class I've ever taken in my entire LIFE! I think I will be switching my major because of this class. Mr. Dodson is very passionate about what he teaches but his jokes are corny and annoying. The class was so boring I couldn't even grasp the material properly which justify for my C.

I loved him! So sweet and loved his students! I got a c, but I totally deserved it. I didn't care for the first 2/3 of the semester, but then, I really got into it. His YouTube videos saved my grade. I messaged him about my test grades and he responded to me within hours! Amazing amazing man!

Dr. Dodson is one of my favorite professors I've ever had. His lectures are insightful, brilliant and inspiring. You often leave class feeling like a whole new world of ideas and ways of thinking have been opened up for you. 10/10 wonderful, brilliantly quirky professor. His tests are multiple choice, but don't let that fool you, they're not easy!

Took him for humanistic psyc. Easy class. Study for test, read books,pay attention in class, take notes and you should pass with A or B. His class will change your life , if you allow his poetic lectures to inspire and motivate you .

Professor Dodson is very corn but his lesson will last a lifetime. Taking this class has helped me somewhat put life into perspective. When taking this class I encourage each study to apply what is learned in this class to their life, it will be easier to understand the lessons if you do that. Overall he is a great teacher.
