What can I say that hasn't been said already? Prendergast should have retired long, long ago. I swear he served in World War I, but I could be wrong. Rarely actually teaches, mostly talks nonsense and skips actual material. Find back tests, bring your laptop to class and you will survive, if lucky. Ace three exams and skip the final too.

This man is so boring. The lectures are mainly about his son-in-law. I am actually writing this review in his class and he is entirely clueless. Really nice guy, like a grandpa. But you will learn nothing from class. If you want a class you can nap in and study later take him. If not, don't. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

If you must take him, tune him out and take your own notes on the chapters. I got an A and was exempt from the final. He takes attendence and there are no papers or assignments or projects. Just teach yourself.

He is entirely too old to still be "teaching" (if that's what you can call it). His lectures include the same material every single class, and do not pertain to the course material whatsoever. He is extremely unhelpful, and even with backed tests, attending class, and "extra credit" (who knows what he did with that) still did poorly.

I ususally don't rate profs, but i thought i had to do you justice. This guy is out of touch. His lectures touch on material but go off on irrelevant history all the time. He seems to have no gauge on student comprehension. If you read well you might be alright, but his class is so painful, beware.

Worst class EVER. Boring would be a kind word for this class. One girl actually said that she was in tears from boredom one night. His exams cover nothing what you would expect - one guy came up to me after the final and said, "Was that the right test?" He talks nothing about econ, only about the politics behind it. AVOID AVOID!

JERK! I cant stand this man. In class, he talks about NOTHING for an HOUR and then he tries to cram in a lesson for a few minutes. His tests are hard and he is not very nice. No personality and cares about nothing but economics.

The custest old man. He's so nice. He talks A LOT about past presidents, US history, etc. What he talks about isnt really on the tests, but if you read the book, you'll do fine on the tests. I never got past tests from anyone and still did well, and I really hate econ haha

Anyone who feels this man is worth taking is a moron. He talks about the most irrevelant topics then 10 minutes before class ends he decides to cram an entire lesson in. Doesn't prepare you for anything, very ustructured. DO NOT TAKE HIM EVER!!

Obviously loves his subject. Offers great insight if you are familiar with US history. Recommend taking him for his unique perspective. Helps you prepare for exams by pointing out testable ideas. Exams are right out of the text.
