Comment:

One of my favorite professors, grade is based primarily on weekly discussion board with occasional quizzes here and there. Completely asynchronous with no office hours, but quick responder via email. Material is interesting and not difficult to understand, it's mostly all about participation. Definitely recommend, I learned a lot from this class

This professor is a gem! Material was pulled from an online textbook, free. Everything is straight forward. Discussion posts were engaging and fun, I was able to connect through communication with other classmates and with the professor easily. She's super caring and inspirational. An 8-10 page paper is due at the end of the semester.

I decided to talk about something that I was truly passionate about and it was sort of controversial in that class, but she helped me through it and helped me touch the hearts of others. She is absolutely amazing and I want to take her again.

Prof Hodgkinson really cares for her students. She gives great feedback on speeches. She prepares you with outlines so speeches arent hard unless you make them hard.

Amazing and very sweet! Lectures were straight to the point and easy to understand. Allowed one flashcard for quizzes and we could write however tiny we wanted. Sympathetic towards tardiness and absences. If you keep up with the syllabus (which isn't overwhelming) you'll receive and easy A. I slacked off and regret it.

Professor Hodgkinson was great. I was so worried about public speaking and she made everything less complicated. 3 major speeches, 2 minor ones, weekly discussions and 5 quizzes based on the textbook (she made sure to select a cheap one so everyone would buy it) it was a breeze.

She's an awesome professor! Speech topics are your choice, gives clear instructions on outlines/speech expectations, etc. Super easy to pass if you do what's expected (which isn't much!). Also very nice and easy to approach. Easily one of the best professors/classes I've ever taken!

Professor Hodgkinson is so amazing! This class is well organized. 4quizzes, 13 online discussions. 3MAJOR speeches, 2MINOR speeches. no homework! Her lectures are great! She's filled with lots of energy and she's fun. she's very helpful and understanding. Best Professor I've taken at CRC. Show up, do your speeches, participate, you'll pass!

What I really enjoyed about this class is that she made it fun and engaging. You are constantly pulled in to every part. Very easy to understand, there is weekly homework but it s not difficult.

THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST COMMUNICATION TEACHER THERE EVER IS. SHE IS VERY PRECISE WITH WHAT SHE WANTS YOU TO DO AND SHE EXPLAINS THINGS WELL. OVERALL, NOT A LOT OF HOMEWORK.

very nice teacher..if you don't like to stand up in front of the class & debate you will about 5 times. If you don't like to do research this class is not for you. prereq engwr 300 c or better. only 2 exams plus final very easy if you read all the chapters. 2 research based debates which I hated because its like doing a research paper for english
