She is the best! She gave me confidence when ever I feel shy to speak and would always say "WabiSabi" meaning perfectly imperfect. She would always give you good feedback to improve your public speaking . I would 1000% recommend her

This class was an experience. My public speaking skills definitely improved, but this class was very weird. Just a suggestion: Participate! The class is unbearable if you do not. Her directions can be confusing on projects, but just ask questions. Textbook is barely used, so I would not bother with it. Only two speeches for whole semester.

Comment:

One of the more bizarre professors I've ever had. Did NOT help anyone in the class learn to public speech. Zero availability outside of class. Often intruded on students personal lives. Requirements for assignments were there for their own sake and had little to no purpose. Once spent 30 minutes shaming a student for not meeting requirements.

She is one hell of a nice professor. Yes she does wants things her way but that's only to make you better at speaking. My class did 2 speechless throughout the whole semester and I got an A-, btw that was my 1st semester, I did not know what I was doing. She is very understanding, talk to her and ask her questions. You'll be fine.

Took her at BMCC and though I was a bit sketchy at first she turned out to be pretty decent. We only ended up doing 2 speeches but I felt that was enough to help guide us. She pushes you to do your best. Preparing the speeches is the most difficult but if you put in the time she'll give you what you deserve. She wants it her way or no way..

extremely kind and patient lady and students take advantage of it.very personable.no favorits, she talks the most to the most active students, but she always tries to interact with those who are not interested in her class.she is both funny and wise. she is very helpful and encourages students to contact her.she may need to be more strikt though.

I was freaked out about taking a speech class, but after taking Golda's class I've become a lot more comfortable speaking in front of groups. She creates a comfortable, low key atmosphere in the classroom that I appreciated. She's funny and like her or not, she knows her stuff.

she really a nice teacher no matter what these people say. She makes you give three different speeches to make you comfortable with standing in front on the classroom. She wants you to learn and than she will give you the grade that you deserve about your progress and how much effort you put into it. She is funny during class and very blunt.

Prof Solomon plays favorites. as far as your grade, the amount of work you actually do doesn't matter much in relation to how much she does or doesn't like you. suck up to her and talk in class. but don't expect to get anything from her besides a good grade, i learned noooothing in her class, complete waste of time.

She's very quirky and out there but that makes her fun. She makes everyone in the class feel comfortable and get to know each other. However it's frustrating that she has no real grading system (and it sometimes depends on her mood) but her criticism is helpful.

This is one of the worst teachers I have ever taken. She played favorites. And if you were not one of her "chosen ones" she gave you a hard time. She thought she was so funny. And the old lady perfume has to go.
