Comment:

Hes been the worst professor I have ever had, and his class has been the biggest waste of money, and that's saying something. He gives personal anecdotes that are not helpful in any way, gets annoyed if you question his way of thinking. Don't take this class if you are a girl. He says very inappropriate things, and you wont feel comfortable.

Professor London is a nice guy with good intentions. He does care about the well-being of his students, but this frequently derailed the class. We spent a lot of time on personal stories and student issues rather than actual content. He means well, but I didn't get a lot out of this class...Easy assignments, but no real feedback either.

Dr. London is very proud of his accomplishments in education. That is the entire content of the class. Every session is a 3 hour q&a with him. This is a required class and there are important things we're supposed to be learning and practicing. Unfortunately, we got nothing. Far too high a price to pay for an easy A.

This man shouldn't be teaching at DePaul. We came to class only to listen to random stories through which he mainly tried to make himself feel important. Didn't pay attention to you unless you were a female student willing to smile for him. Class was useless, he was not helpful at all, at times even condescending. Avoid if you can!!!

Easy class, good professor. Lecture/discussion may get off topic but for the most part the content is still helpful/relevant for future educators. London is a great guy and a very knowledgeable/experienced educator. In-class discussions and textbook were more helpful than the projects (probably only assigned so he'd have something to grade us on).

Well, THAT was a complete waste of time (and money).This class was a joke.Unless the whole point of graduate school is taking blow off courses that are basically useless.Maybe it's just me, but I would have LOVED to learn SOMETHING.If you want the easy way out and don't really care, take him by all means.This was by far the worst class ever.

Easy class. You have to deal with lots of students whining about their experiences. His discussions are awful. You can miss 2 classes, then its some grade deduction. you need books for weekly written assignments

Dr. London is a funny guy who is very helpful. Sometimes class seems to have no point, but typically you can find some value in the discussion. Portfolio, lesson planning and some teaching strategies are what you can expect. Take him, he's great.

Quirky sense of humor, but relatively fun and keeps class interesting. Lots of years experience teaching/being a principal. Hardly any use of book in class. Really not a lot of work, but projects that are relavent to the topics being discussed. Usually lets us out 30-60-min early. I'd definitely recommend him to others!

He's alright, but for my money I'd like less of a salon hour and more teaching, but that's just me. He gets off topic a ton, but he's a nice guy and his expectations are low, so that's redeeming I suppose. I hate to say this, b/c it's a required course, but it's a total blow off.

Comment:

Sweetest man on the planet with a vast knowledge of the education system. He has taught for many and was also a principal--so he can teach you anything you want to know. He is incredibly understanding to the fact that you have a life outside of his class, but he is one of the few teachers who makes class relevant to your life. Take a class wtih him...I took two.
