DO NOT TAKE!! He is so boring and relies on the book so much. His recorded lectures are so long and his emails are all over the place. you will have 3 papers and they are pretty easy. If you can avoid this professor then do it.

I take his zoom call because of Covid and he straight up just lectures for 45 mins with no PowerPoint or anything and then tells us to read 20 pages of the test book. This class is not for anyone how does not do well with lecture and nothing for follow such as power point. He also doesnt respond to a single email you send him so you get no help.

His classes were long and boring, the only reason i went was for attendance, which he gives extra credit for at the end of the semester. He pretty much tells stories the entire class, if you don't enjoy listening to history stories this is not the class for you. His voice is low therefore it is hard to hear him speak.

This class is just recycled information from high school with small detail additions here and there. Prof. Wilson loves to talk. I dont think there was a single class where he did not lecture until the very last second. His study guides were not that helpful when it comes to the exam but the papers given were basically participation grades.

Bring a pillow . I 100% regret taking his class. He seems like a sweet old man, but i do not feel bad falling asleep everyday. I can't help it. He just stands in front of the class and talks about who knows what with no power point or anything. I can't even take notes because he goes so off topic. You basically need to teach yourself.

Nice man, bad teacher. He is all over the place with his teaching, you will not learn in this class unless you go out of your way to teach yourself. His tests are all short answer this man does not know what multiple choice is. But as long as you turn in something for his participation papers you'll get a 100 for them. Also can't hear well.

terrible terrible terrible. He can barley hear when your standing right next to him. he talks about anything and everything which is horrible if you looking for specifics. I wish i had never taken his class because now i have to use a grade forgiveness on it and retake it.

He can be boring, but pay attention you'll see how much he can teach you. Tests are only short answer and essays but they're easy if you know a few definitions/explanations for events. You get options on tests and there's a curve. Gives a lot of leeway with deadlines. Three easy papers that have a few simple guidelines. Easy grader. Loved his class

Ive been in this class for only 3 hours and have yet to learn a single thing relevant to us history. The lectures are confusing and jump from topic to topic too much. He seems smart as can be but the teaching style is just awful.

No powerpoints or handouts, it's just him standing there telling stories about the past, I hated his teaching style. The classes are unbearably boring and you'll never learn anything, but he counts absences against you on your final so always go. However if you do his "definition lists" you'll pass and the 3 papers are only for participation.

I absolutely hated this class. He jumped around during lectures and it was very confusing. When you asked him for help he would reply in a very condescending way. You definitely have to study in this class, but it's not terribly hard. I took the text book and taught it to myself. I only went to class because he takes attendance.

If you can avoid taking Wilson's class I suggest you do. I should have listened to the reviews on here. His classes might have only been an hour but they felt like an eternity. There are 3 papers which if you do them you get an A, and 4 tests which were all writing and he looks for specific answers from his "lectures" and the book. Very unclear.

Honestly, this was one of the worst professors I've ever had. He was extremely monotone and made history even more boring than I already thought it was. However, he does create a word list for each test. As long as you memorize each and every one of those words on the list, you'll be able to do well on the test. Good luck.

Absolutely love history. I'm still trying to figure out how he put me to sleep every single day. Bad at teaching, bad at explaining. Thankfully he's fair at grading exams and papers. Make sure you do all of the assignments he gives out, and it'll certainly be a great help.

Fair grader? Yeah. Understandable and simple to do assignments? I would say so, yes. Good teacher?... Not really. His lectures were boring and uneventful. I am a History major, and I have a passion for it, so it wasn't all that hard for me. But I've noticed my other non-Hist major compatriots suffer. He teaches us like we're all HIST majors.

Teletech-Very boring class, monotonous tone. All lecture. Had him for 3hrs/once a week. Lectures the WHOLE TIME with literally a 5 min break. Has 2 exams, midterm & comprehensive final. Choice @beginning of school to hv 5 participation papers-2pgs ea or 10 part papers-1pg ea. Need your books for these. Takes attendance. Bring a laptop and Redbull!

hes a nice guy was way boring people hardly came...there is no guide to what he teaches and the book doesnt even get used so dont bother. the only thing that will help your grade are the 3 papers so do them and do them well

Comment:

Mr. Wilson is a very good teacher. Though history can be a boring subject, he tells little relevant stories so as not to put us to sleep. If you go to class and take notes, you'll be fine. He doesn't do notes though. He just lectures from the top of his head. he may occasionally write on the board but that's mainly to keep his self on track.
