Comment:
My least favorite professor to date at DePaul. I took her stats class thinking it would be easy since I credit myself good at math and I really like stats. She never went over practice problems. Our homework was short answer/essays not math, and the tests were confusingly worded and filled with trick questions. Not good at clarifying any topic.

This professor is the biggest contributing factor to why I left DePaul. She would stare at my upper torso region (I'm a female) when I met with her in her office, and I often felt bullied by her. I would recommending avoiding at all costs

I saw that Dr. Halpert had a good rating so I went ahead and signed up for her class. She is my least favorite professor here at DePaul by a landslide. She's condescending, rude, does not care about her students, and desperately needs to retire. She can't hear anything asked in class and will go out of her way to make a scene about it. Avoid her.

Dr. Halpert is great. I recommend taking her if you are an I/O student, she is head of department. Her class is sooo easy, tests are open book/notes. Has like 6 quizzes (drops 1 or extra credit), and 2 1.5 pg essays. Go to class and you'll get an A without even studying. Her lectures however are incredibly boring, bring coffee to keep you awake.

Comment:
Okay, so Dr. Halpert is REALLY good at teaching how to do actual statistical calculations, and I actually had fun learning it. Seriously, she makes this stuff so easy to understand, and I loved that. HOWEVER, he tests are hard solely based on the fact that every question is weighted heavily. Make a couple mistakes and you'll loose an A quickly.

Comment:
I'm taking her for intro to I/O psych. She is not helpful; she's one of those teachers who will never answer the question you actually ask. Her feedback is useless. Her lectures often talk about experience she had in the workplace in the 70's, so it has nothing to do with how it is now. Everything about this class is unclear and confusing.

She isn't a very nice prof, so if you go ask her a question don't expect much. Her notes are different than the book and can cause confusion. Lectures are boring and she's an odd duck. Her TA is like her as well. If this class is required, wait for a different prof

I have always DREADED math and heard that stats was particularly awful, but this class was surprisingly enjoyable and clear. I kept waiting to get completely lost, but it never happened. Dr. Halpert went out of her way to make sure we understood the material, and she was very sweet. Go to class every day though, she doesn't post the powerpoints.

Dr. Halpert is adorable, hilarious, and my ideal teacher. She is always available for extra Help. Offers TONS of extra credit. Explains really well. Doesn't require attendance. And will bake you cookies. 1010 would take this class again. I took stats with her and I hate stats but loved her class

Professor Halpert is a good teacher overall, and is very eager to help anyone who needs it. The only thing to watch out for is she can get a little snippy if you ask her redundant questions, but otherwise is usually more than happy to accommodate. Make sure you get a copy of the textbook because the tests are open bookopen note.

Please do your best to avoid her. She is very rude and intimidating. She will answer each question with hostility and will make you hate whatever class you take with her. Save your time and money and avoid this prof.

I have no idea where the good ratings are coming from for this professor. Grade is 1/3 homework, 1/3 midterm, 1/3 final. Homework is relatively easy and I did well, however the exams have very little to do with actually understanding statistics and instead minute details she includes in her PowerPoint slides. Would not recommend.

The class average on our first exam was 77%. No study guide. Expects you to read everything. I am not sure where all the nice comments are coming from, but she is not as easy as they say here. She may be good for stats but she didn't know how to teach PSY 381. Overall nice but strict teacher.

Very boring class. Strict on attendance! Go to every class. Don't come late or make noise while leaving. Read the book! Her lectures are easy to zone out from but the amount of info you get from just being there should be enough. Easy assignments just turn them in on time! But the tests were hard - lots of information.

This is a ridiculously easy class. All tests are open book and open note. The downside is that the professor sometimes treated us like high school students and can sometimes be condescending. If you want a GPA booster, definitely take this class.

EASY A: Three tests (non-cumulative)open book/open note, 6 homework assignemnts (only 5 are mandatory- the other counts as extra credit), teaches slowly so you will understand. Take her hands down for an easy A. If you don't get something GO TO HER OFFICE HOURS, she'll help you out 100% no doubt. Fair grader.

She is an I/O psychologist, and very enthusiastic about Stats. Everyone says stats is hard, she makes it so easy. Open note/open book for all three tests. Homeworks are easy. She is a good teacher. No Hesitations, take her.Her grading is above and beyond fair. She wants you to succeed, and enjoy stats as much as she does. :)yayaya
