Perez is overall a good guy but a terrible teacher. Yes, his lectures are entertaining because he is funny but useless when it comes test time. His power point don't match up to the lecture and then his lectures don't match up with the test. He only has a midterm and a final so it is impossible to bring your grade up. Also, he is participatio heavy

Took him for first year seminar. overall not bad. Midterm / final are open book. He's quirky, really knows his stuff, and is passionate about what he teaches. Highly disorganized, though. But, he's a nice guy who cares about your success. classes aren't too bad, there's some out of class stuff you have to do but its okay. Would take again.

So boring, never reads emails. Notes dont match up to the most of the midterm, really hard to bring up your grade theres just a midterm, project, and then the final. Not worth it

He is a great teacher. As long as you participate you will have no problem. He gives articles for you to read and he takes a lot of test questions from them. His review sheets don't mimic the test but if you pay attention it's fine.

Helmut is very funny. He goes on rants that have nothing to do with the lecture. The tests are hard but he gives a crazy curve so everyone does really well. He likes when you participate in class.

Prof. Perez favors students, especially female athletes. It's hard to sit his hour and a half long class because some things he does and say are cringey. He's ok for the most part but makes you work for your grade. Homework assignments due almost every class and he takes forever to grade. Midterm/final open book though so that's a plus.

I never understood what was going on in the class, his lecture was gibberish and he jumped from topic to topic. His test was confusing and made everyone confused and not really what was in the study guide. no extra credit gives a few papers and homework that take up time.

Dr.Perez was a really nice guy and easy to approach but he does not teach everything that you need to know for your final projects or exams. DO NOT FOLLOW THE REVIEW SHEETS!!!! just look over your own notes. his notes are also all over the place. he wont fail you though. nice guy just a bad teacher.
