This is for Distance MArch Program: Herb really challenged your thinking and also was not shy about expressing the gross deficiencies in architectural education studios. In this economy it was refreshing to hear a prof. who cared about your education. Class was pretty easy only because there was no confusion about expectations unlike studios.

FOCUS was awesome with Prof Childress. You're really encouraged to think in this class. Can't/don't want to BS his papers - topics are engaging and challenging (in a good way). He understood when we hated the readings. Amazing guy with a great life story. Take Evol & Humankind FOCUS!!

Professor Childress is really awesome! I had him for a Stages of Life writing class, in which I learned a lot and felt my writing improved significantly, but I would recommend him no matter what writing class he was teaching. You'll definitely enjoy him!
