Super nice guy, no homework, and only 2 tests (the midterm and final), they're not that easy but he's a very generous grader and gives a massive curve. He also doesn't require the textbook and you have access to all the lectures on bb. You do have to show up though, he takes that pretty seriously!

Amazing professor! Can always light up your day within a few jokes. 3 Tests and HW on Codelab. Definitely recommend take this professor if I was majoring in Computer Science! ( You don't need to buy the textbook since all lectures are on blackboard.)

Take him, you won't regret it. Tests have reviews and the final looks the same as those. He's funny and adorable and loves Doctor Who and Harry Potter. Focus in class and learn. Teaches for maybe half the period while the rest you sit and work on the problems. Loved him!

I liked him from the day of my orientation. Coding in C++ is meant to be hard, but Schanker will make it easy for you. He covers everything that is going to be in the final. With his best of knowledge, he will help you with everything you need, and yes I mean everything! Don't forget to participate in class...Good luck Coding! -Android!

Ever hear the song "Simply the best". That fits this guy, he truly is simply the best. The material is not super easy you should know that going in, but he makes this class extremely enjoyable,relaxed and laid back. Amazingly enough it makes learning easier. I will sincerely miss Schanker, I loved him and his class. BEST PROFESSOR EVER.

One of the nicest professor you'll ever find in this terrible school you'll never find a guy like that ever again.He's helpful and talks to basicly every student in the class, jokes around often. All you have to do is show little bit of an effort. I failed all my test and still got a C.

Ok, this teacher seems very nice and helpful. But imo the material is difficult for first timers. He is a good grader, gives generous curve. I averaged in the high 60's for class tests, and got a B as my final grade.

the class is hands on and interesting, yet very hard stuff. However even though you think you're failing he's such a nice guy you will walk away with a B. I dont think i got higher than a 73 on a test but i got an A-, but i did make him laugh. Very nice guy highkly recommended
