Professor is super sweet and loves to tell stories. She is not a hard grader but requires you to write a chapter summary if you're absent. Read the chapters! You will discuss them every class!

She does not give the opportunity for one to speak. If you do not understand something and need to ask a question for clarity she belittles you in front of the entire class. She does this so often she may not realize that. As a class it was discussed amongst each other and everyone feels the same way. She may want to sympathize more in the future.

Soc3150- urban sociology.. learn nothing about urban Soc.. she's hard to understand... loves to talk about things other than urban Soc... doesn't like not getting her last word in, in a discussion.. class is too long... she's rude... DO NOT TAKE HER!

Professor Nevarez is a good professor but not great. She tends to get side tracked on her trips across the world during class instead of teaching but that makes it also less boring in her class. She gives a lot of reading but not out of textbook, and you have a 10 page paper for your final. She is helpful and responds to emails well.

She's a decent professor, sometimes she loses track of the subject but as long as you read the assignments, you'll do fine. There are probably better Sociology professors out there but she is by no means a bad professor.

Comes to class to hang out and talk. Really bitter about a lot. Will love you one day and turn on you the next. A lot of reading. A bit of writting. A lot of talk about nothing in her 3 hour classes (I've had her twice). Put in effort and you'll get an A.

Qualitative methods in social research when Nevarez is teaching it is a breeze. Show up to class, which is mandatory or else your grade will reflect it, and you will be guaranteed an A. There is a presentation and a final paper. No tests!! Take her!!

she is extremely easy. you only do 1 five page essay on a chapter of your choice and if you miss a class you write a summary. she has alot of stories to tell so thats most of the class topic because she always gets off topic. she always tries to make a joke so she is pretty entertaining.

Had her in methods. The class was alright attendance was mandatory. 2 papers 1rst paper 5 pages 2nd paper 11 pages ..11 page paper was easier than I thought she broke everything into sections. She's also open to visitors in her office if for any reason you need help and assistance with your paper. The only people who had issues were procrastinators

great professor, so smart, well traveled, talks about subjects from a world perspective, post-moderinist, yes there is two fairly long papers assigned and strict with attendance but great class learned so much had to take her twice.

If you miss a class, she makes you write a paper. If you have questions, it's impossible to track her down and she leaves straight after class. She does not adhere to her scheduled office hours. She's rude and generally unhelpful. However, her class is simple as long as you find yourself a decent topic for the paper.
