Great professor! Took him for CJA 101, 116, and 119 and his lectures were great. As long as you pay attention to his lectures and read the materials you will pass the class. He is very helpful and understanding as well. If you need help or are struggling he will try to help you figure out ways to do better in the class.

Comment:

Good guy, jokes get repetitive but hey, better than a soulless husk that people get used to. He teaches well and has good stories from his past to tie lessons together without trailing off into "war stories". Good choice and you can get past most classes without the book if not all.

Great dude. Makes a lot of jokes and repeats himself, but he makes class fun. His tests are VERY easy. I got As on most of them. His projects and homework are easy too.

Take this guy, and get on his good side. My class was supposed to go to 9:15 every night but he always ended at 8-8:30. I'm not a good test taker and recieved low Bs or C's on every one. But I put in a lot of effort going to class and asking questions and he gave me an A. Very nice guy. Knows his stuff! Highly recommend.

Tests were very straightforward for Intro to Criminal Justice - textbook and notes. His lectures got the information across but were not extremely boring, and he was pretty cooperative and understanding about missing class. Make sure you put work into the website project presentation - he reprimands you if you don't!

Professor Gasper, Jack is one of the most influential that are in my life. when he lectures its not just to get it out of the way, he wants his students to understand what it means so he puts meaning behind everything he does. Whether it be taking notes or helping you on his spare time. If you do what he tells you you will pass the class easily.

Absolutely LOVE this professor! He is extremely helpful and loves what he teaches. There are a lot of notes, so if you miss one day.. Yeah, you're kinda screwed unless you get them from somebody else. But, it was a great class. Very fair. Interesting. I take his classes any chance I get. :-) Sadly, I am running out!! :-(

I had him for CJA 101 and CJA 240. He is a nice person and seems to care about his students. He has a lot of knowledge about Criminal Justice. Although, he does waste class time giving long anecdotes. His class is mostly note taking and his tests are half essay half short answer. In both CJA 101 and 240 he never used the book.

Very skilled in his background, spent years doing what he currently teaches. Always attend class he has lots of notes and he does not post them online. If you miss one day you are screwed. Exams are about half multiple choice half essay. They are pretty easy, he tells you what to remember and drops hints during lectures on what the essays will be.

I've taken about 4 or 5 of his classes. He's not easy but not obsessivly hard you just need to be in class, pay attention and take notes (lots of notes!!) He's a fair grader and very informative! He def knows his courses inside and out! I recommend him
