He's a very smart person but his lectures are very hard to follow. Material is dense and the exams are very specific and very detailed oriented. Get ready to spend a lot of time reviewing for this class and memorizing everything that gets thrown at you. Overall he is a very smart person and really knows his subject.

Comment:
Super vague and dry lecturer who basically reads off his PDF slides, so going to class isn't necessary, nor do his lectures clarify anything. Best way to study for this class is to look at sample exams and study the topics related to the questions asked, and memorize the names/function/purpose of everything. Never gave any that extra credit :(

Average professor. Second exam is significantly harder than the first. Clear lecture with textbook reading necessary to connect all the dots. Never gave a pop quiz for extra credit that he hinted at.

Dr. Perrault is a very fast lecturer but he is detailed and he posts the lecture recordings for the class. He teaches the first half of this class and has two exam. HIS EXAMS ARE HARD make sure to know tedious details for each exam. Excellent lecturer overall but his exams are extremely hard.

I thought that Dr. Perrault was very enjoyable to listen to in class. His tests were very difficult. So be prepared to study your butt off, and do well! I didn't really read the book, but DID need it periodically for clarification, as a textbook should be used. Perrault himself pointed out that the book's an encyclopedia and gives you specifics.

Dr. Perrault is a good professor. He teaches what you need to know for the exams in his lectures so you don't really need the book for his section (unless for clarification) but there is a lot of info. His exams are part MC with 1 short answer. Don't fall behind or the class will kick your butt with all the details.

You don't need to buy the expensive book for Biochem II. His tests are strictly based off his powerpoints. His tests are really difficult because he gives a small amount of questions, so even if you know the majority of the info, you might not pay attention to one section, and thus mess up big time. His tests have 2 essay questions but you choose 1

I love Dr. Perrault! He's a wonderful instructor. Very clear when he teaches and is very clear on wat he expects students 2 kno 4 his exams. He records his lectures & gives us a practice exam 4 studying. He's as great and helpful a professor can be for such a difficult and time-consuming subject. Work hard, study hard!

He's a nice guy and his lectures are pretty clear. Just be sure to take good notes on the slides since he emphasizes that more than the book. It is a difficult class regardless of who is teaching.

Not an easy class but if you attend lecture and keep up you'll be okay. Book really isn't necessary, tests are on lecture notes. Dr. Perrault is a great lecturer and explains material slowly and in detail.

Do not take this class with him. Hard ass that expects non-chem majors to know everything. If avoidable, do not take this class with him.

He is a nice guy, but is a very hard teacher. He shoves alot of info at you for the tests. It definietly turns into a long class 3 days a week, and friday is always a good skip day for him, since all of his notes are in the lecture notes.
