Shannon can do everything but leap tall buildings in a single bound, so she is always very busy, yet will take the time to help any student who asks. She is friendly, kind, and respects students' diverse viewpoints. Top professor, top advisor. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed having Shannon as my professor for two classes. Lots of projects but I learned things that will only make me a better artist. Shannon is fun and I was completely relaxed with her teaching style. She expects you to do your work. She has a tremendous wealth of knowledge.

Shannon will always go out of her way to help you, even if you're not in her class! If you come to her with questions, she will do her best to answer them and help you reach your goal. She is very knowledgable about woodworking and installation art, and is a working artist herself. You won't know if you like her til you take her!

Classtime with Shannon is fun yet productive. There was never a dull moment in her class. I found that her projects were simple yet challenging and that as long as you do your work, you'll get a good grade. I would take a class with her again!

She is an OK grader (not an easy grader). she's really flexible with projects. She is very knowledgeable and explains things slowly, but thoroughly. her project concepts are kind of strange, I didn't like them, but maybe you will. Do the boring online writings.

I hated her first project which involved wire. Just be creative in your work, do her small assignments and do good on the quizzes. I did bad on the first project and failed the second quiz. She still gave me an A which surprised me. Again, just keep your projects interesting and get into it even though if its not your thing.

She's really detail oriented, especially during critiques but grades fairly. You don't really notice her humor at the beginning but she can be very very funny. Her project are always super fun and exciting. And she really appreciates ambitious work from students. I try really hard for her attention! She's really hard core. REALLY REALLY HARD CORE!!

Shannon's got a great sense of humor, and is very open-minded about projects. If you're shy about asking for help, you kind of have to get over it, because she doesn't really come to you, and learning the tools is essential to doing well. The projects can be crazy fun, as long as you keep your creativity flowing and get some good ideas.

Shannon lets you explore freely in all of her projects, as long as you understand the confines of her assignments. Very helpful, wont let you get scared with wood/metal shop, and her projects are ALL COOL! Kinda monotonous, but youll get used to it in a few weeks... very funny sarcastic humor too! =P Definately recommend!
