Funny, engaging, ALWAYS lets the class out early. Take home final is a breeze, everyone I talked to got an A, will round up the grades, if he likes you. Flexible midterms i.e. you have a choice of doing 5/7. Previous midterm examples posted on blackboard.

Good teacher with real world examples, reviews current topics and points out how they relate to one another. 2 tests and one take home exam. Tests were more difficult than i would have thought. The take home exam was straight forward.

Great teacher. Lothian is very experienced and has the ability to present the material in an interesting format. Lectures require diligent attention to the reading as well as current events. Tests are fair. For a prerequisite class, I was surprised at how much I learned. Overall a very inspiring experience and I highly recommend this class.

Lets face it economics isn't the most exciting material but he does his best to keep you interested. Two tests ,midterm and final, and a paper. The midterm was rather easy and straightforward. The final was a little more tricky, but nothing to stress about. The paper was cake. Read the book, take notes and show up to class.

Teaches from the best economics textbook (Landsburg) available. Follows the text closely. Well organized.Reasonable grader. Exams are based on the book and on what he teaches. Has a good sense of humor: will keep you awake even at 8 pm. Teaches from the slides provided by the text. Does not explain complex ideas well but will give you a hint.

very flexible grader. 2 test and 1 essay. rarely any HW assign and no need to submit. Lectures verbatim from text book. good for first class if starting mba program to get you going studying without much pressure.

2 in class exams (you can bring 1 paper with whatever you want), 1 take home final; All equal weight; exams seem hard, but he grades really easy; class is boring. All he does is read from powerpoints that came with the textbook. He adds no color and his explanations are vague; you're better off reading the book. He does let us out at 9:30 though.

Poor Teaching quality, notes unclear, boring class. Professor knows the material, but does not know how to properly present material to students that is clear. I thought this was going to be a very interesting class, but was very disappointed.

I had a good experience with Prof Lothian. His humor was spot on and he applied "what's happening in the world" to what's goign on in class. The exams were fair and he graded fairly. I hear a few groans and moans from other students, but mostly from ones not in business majors.
