Comment:

He is not an easy professor. He write extremely hard tests, all fill in the blanks, no multiple choice. He is okay at explaining things but he goes off on tangents a lot and expects students know more than they do. Despite this he is a really nice guy if you talk to him and article summaries/final projects can bring your grade up from his tests.

His test are almost impossible to pass unless you have a good memory. Some test only 3 students would get a B or higher. He does seem like a nice guy and he is probably a genius but I couldn't enjoy the class, knowing I couldn't do well.

Comment:

This was for Bio of the Neuron. The class was very difficult but it is totally doable if you keep up with the workload. He is tough but a very nice guy and willing to help if you are struggling. A textbook was mandatory but it was very comprehensive and small, so was very cheap online. I really enjoyed the class.

Dr. Sidie is a wonderful professor. I am now a senior and he is one I will most fondly remember. I did not receive very good grades in his courses (he is difficult), but I learned a lot and loved his classes. Students do not like him because he is difficult, but he is a very nice person and extremely knowledgeable.

Awesome Professor! He makes thing understandable and interesting to me. He's very helpful and nice. He's not weird, he's probably just had a rough life. If you take the time to get to know him, he will make an impact on your life. He's very wise and one of the reasons I'm going into marine bio.

Sidie was my advisor and by senior year he still didn't know who I was. In fact, he messed up my course scheduling so I had to change my minor due to his error. His class was completely uninteresting and he is biased towards/against students he likes or dislikes. He especially will not like you if he sees you pledging a frat/sorority. Avoid this prof if you can.

Dr Sidie is an excellent professor and he knows the subject very well. People dont like him because he's very awkward and impatient when you dont understand him. Regardless of this he really is a good teacher, you just need to put time and effort into his class and realize hes not good with people

Oh, man, I HATED this guy! He obviously couldn't be bothered to waste his precious time on an intro course and it showed. He actually admitted to grading a paper by glancing to see how much red ink he'd used correcting and giving a letter based on that.
