You might have to hear the same jokes every week for the entire semester, but Dr. Tipps is an amazing teacher. Essentially the only piece of homework given for the entire semester was one paper and he told you exactly what he wanted you to write.

He lets us out late. Don't ask questions during rehearsals if getting close to a concert (he will ignore you). Just see him after class. He is a nice guy, but he gets stressed out. Perfectionist: stops about every two measures for corrections.

Comment:

Always respectful and kind, Men's Chorale with Dr. Tipps is a joy. Just be careful that sometimes he's a bit sporadic and comes off as impolite to the accompanist. And while they're enjoyable, get ready to hear his stories and phrases again and again.

Dr. Tipps is a great teacher! He firmly demands respect from the students but not without showing them the same respect. Always easy to approach when having trouble learning or understanding something, one of the top 5 teachers i ever had definitely.

Dr. Tipps is awesome. Taking Elementary Methods with him has already been so much more educational and informative. He e-mails us almost everyday to remind us of homework assignments that are due, and also gave us a list of elementary teachers in the area to observe. Such a nice guy.

Great professor! Sometimes he may get on your nerves, but most of the time he's happy go lucky and cares about the students. The class is EXTREMELY EASY and you can miss a lot of class and still get an "A" (he doesn't stick to the absense rule) also a great G.P.A. booster.

Dr. Tipps is very nice, and he really knows how to lead a choir. Very helpful, friendly and easy to approach. I reccommend joining University Chorus!!
