Schupp is a good guy but his teaching method isnt great. I only took him because he was the only one who offered 265 this past semester. His PowerPoints are sometimes confusing and his film choices are questionable. The course is easy to teach to yourself, though.

Comment:
Dr. Schupp is extremely knowledgable about the topics he teaches. I enjoyed his lectures as they always made me think critically about certain topics. I also, strangely, enjoyed his weekly worksheets because they encouraged me to read the assigned readings before class which helped me understand the lecture and relate it more.

The classes I've taken were not my favorite but I also have to be fair. He is very passionate about the classes he teaches and really cares about every single student. Always there to help and will email you back right away. The classes are just boring and quite repetitive but he means well. +++ The assignments are not hard.

Schupp is a guy who teaches about things he's never experienced so he's literally reading off slides he puts together. Such a boring class yet I just took my midterm got an A- and didn't pay attention at all. Home work is super easy and doesn't give a letter grade just "Good". Also half did a paper and still got a B+.

Professor Schupp is a nice guy but this class is horrible. It is so incredibly boring and he keeps you until the very last second of class every time. Don't take it unless you have to.

I love Dr. SCHUPP! He's a great professor and loves what he does. I think he loves to hear himself talk but he's admirable. He wears the cutest professional outfits and smiles all the time. Gives great insight of the criminal justice system. Anyone that doesn't like him shouldn't be studying criminal justice. He's the real deal.

I like Dr. Schupp because he doesn't call people out in class and has extremely easy to workload. People who complain about this professor need to take classes from the rest of the criminal justice department and then complain. Schupp is one of my favorite professors because he gives you two papers, and two exams (questions are given week prior)

This professor likes to speak in class a lot. He shows a few videos. You will learn a lot in this course. I highly recommend taking this class, even though it isn't the easiest. If you pay attention, take notes, and do the readings, you are sure to do well.

He is not as bad as everyone thinks but he is hard. You need to pay attention and read, if not you will not do well. He has a dry sense of humor that can be lost on most. He has guidelines and you need to follow them and do what he wants, he does not take any BS. You will do fine if you do your work.

He seems excited about the material, but teaches it in a really boring and repetitive manner. Tests are straight off of notes from class and handouts so if you pay attention they really aren't bad. He's not very personable, but he does seem to know what he's teaching.

First time he's taught Ethics and CRJ at the grad level. NO TESTS, two 10 page papers, and attendance. Can be very dry and boring, but at least he tried to spice things up by watching a video every class. Not my favorite professor, but he wasn't all that bad either. Make sure you do the readings cause they will help you for your papers.

I would advise this teacher for serious students only. He is a good, passionate teacher. Pauly will not take any crap, so don't expect him to bend over backwards for you. Classes are dry sometimes, one paper, and two tests. The tests are focused on class readings and discussions. This is a HARD class.

Personally, i loved this class, the book was interesting, he was animated and led lots of discussions. However, he gives a study guide with all of the possible topics for each test, and spells out exactly what he wants for the paper as well. He's a liberal, but i thought the class really made me think. go to class, take notes, its an easy A.

he is a jack ass, he took two letter grades off of my term paper because I missed class the day it was due and didnt email it untill 6:00 that day. He is really boring, he wont help you if you go to his office hours and he is a clueless advisor.
