There's no reason to complain about her. She gives you a wealth of information and then tests you on it. She's nit-picky about formatting your financial statements so pay close attention to the $ and alignments. Other than that, she's great - super thorough.

Homework is key to success in this class. The professor rightly points this out at the beginning of the semester. Completing the homework allows you to follow along with the lessons. With that said, she could afford to have a few MORE exams that cover a little less material. The exams were on the lengthy side. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

Comment:

Lectures are almost entirely a monologue. 75% of class consists of homework review (again, monologue). Some of the homework is graded which is nice (15% of grade overall) but the tests are terrible. Not super hard but way too much in too little time. You'll find yourself starring at the clock freaking out halfway through. Never finished one test :(

DO NOT TAKE! Unless you are ready to teach yourself straight out of the book don't take her. She never teaches in class. Only went over the homework and tests in class. MOST BORING class I have EVER had. I HATED going to class because of how bored I got but she makes attendance Mandatory! Which is stupid because you have to teach yourself anyway.

She is not the most interesting professor, but her lectures are clear and helpful. She is very patient, and is always happy to answer questions and clarify things. Her quizzes are definitely hard. Her tests are super long-- I didn't have time to finish one of them. But they are not hard, and she grades generously.

Excellent Professor. I didn't know anything about accounting but I did well in the class. Janice Feingold was always very patient and helpful. If you read the book, do the assignments and pay attention, you should do well in her class.

Helpful teacher but you still must really work hard to pass this class. I worked my tail off and am very happy with my B grade. The top students do not take full time units simultaneously, as I did.

This class isn't fun, it is what it is. But she is clear. She would LOVE to help you if you need it. I suggest always doing the work so you can keep up. Be there every day because if you get behind it can be hard to catch up for some people.

She is a god teacher, doesn't really teach anything. Homework is not mandatory but she does get annoyed when there are low tests scores and she knows people don't do their work. Tests are not hard if you do all the homework and ask questions. The class is boring because there is no interaction and it's all lessons. She's really good if you do well.

Good professor and knows the subject very well. Tests are okay but the final is quite difficult. My suggestion is to do the homework, read the chapter before class and ask questions. She is very patient and really wants to help her students understand the material. Do any EC that she offers, it helps!

Very good professor, helpful and extremely educated on this field. Ive come to understand that most students that talk bad about this class are lousy. she def. prepares us students for the real world and university, unlike other professors. One of those classes where you need to read the chapter before walking in class. recommend

Nice person, but horrible teacher. She does not teach, simply reads from the book verbatim, very boring. Tests are very hard and set you up to fail. Gives no extra credit. More than half the class dropped. Unfortunately, only one available who teaches in class in evening. Suggest taking class online (when offered) or at another college.

Do not take. I am a straight A student and got a C in the class. No student interaction, tests are too hard, and she's just very boring. I've never seen a class where more than half of the students were failing, no one had an A and she still did not curve the class. Gives pop quizzes. There is no reason to take this teacher if you do not have to.

Good person, Horrible teacher. I wouldn't take any class from her unless you plan on/like teaching yourself. Grades down to the last detail so if you miss even a small bit, but still get the general idea, you get points taken off. I thought finance would have been fun. Silly me.
