Classes are fun; very interactive. 1) ALWAYS read ahead because he drops quizzes every week and you never know when they are. 2) Print off the Powerpoints for each chapter and take notes on them during class. He is not afraid to give you a zero or 50% off for late assignments (even 5 minutes late). Be prepared, participate, and you will do fine.

Tough grader but he's so fun! Be ready for pop quizzes all the time. He keeps you on your toes. Don't skip class. He gives great advice and is lovely to listen to. He cares about his students.

Jim is really awesome! He goes very fast trying to explain some important information and skip most. Then he tests you over all material. Spend most time talking about nothing other than his stories. Jim is really awesome! Paid $25 for a game I had no idea about how to play it or how he is going to grade it. Jim is really awesome!

Comment:

Jim is hilarious and probably one of the best teachers I have had at Western. He is very sarcastic so if you dont like that dont take the class. He's super knowledgeable about his subjects however and definitely makes sure you understand the material. Tests are easy as long as you pay attention and study. Overall, I highly suggest him as a teacher!

Jim is awesome. He keeps the class on it's toes and is very entertaining. Must be able to handle constructive criticism and have a good attitude. Very willing to help anyone who asks for it. Participation in classroom lecture will help you immensely. If desired, he will help get you a job. I took 4 classes with Jim, loved them all. A+ prof

Dr. Kenny keeps class fun. Don't get offended by his jokes, he comes off crass but doesn't mean them in a bad way. Make sure you study for exams, not just what's on the study guides. They cover lots of info. I never knew what to study for b/c he doesn't give you much to go off of so be on your game! Very little lecture so you must read on your own!

Jim is very funny in class. He tells many funny stories & is always joking with everyone. He can be intimidating but he means well. Only take him if ur able to kid around b/c he does lots of joking. Don't get offended by it. Keeps a loose, entertaining atmosphere. My only complaint is that he goes WAY TOO FAST & tries to cover too much at one time.

Down to earth, relaxed teaching style, approachable, and fair. Not easiest grader. Will teach you a ton! Goes out of his way to help his students in class and will help you find a job! Go to class or he will kill you! If you participate in class he will loved you. Teacher i have learned the most from yet at WIU.

Dr. Kenny is a wonderful teacher that truly cares about his students. He is relaxed and casual and likes to have fun during class as well. However, he can be challenging so make sure you go to class! I highly recommend Dr. Kenny!

Best teacher I have ever had. He has his students best interest in mind and teaches from the heart. He was difficult at times, but his passion for teaching overshadows it. Be prepared to work for your grade.

Dr. James Kenny is by far the best business professor at Western Illinois University hands down. This is a professor that cares for his students, has real world experience, and will teach you more in a semester than you can learn in a year. If you want a great teacher I recommend you to take his class!

This is the capstone marketing course. It's a very difficult course. You have to take it. Get over it. Dr. Kenny is an excellent prof that actually cares about his students. He takes a personal interest in your future successes and will do anything he can to help you find job placement. This course is very intensive - 6 hrs week.

Get teacher. He is very helpful and easy to talk to. Is funny sometimes and jokes with students everyday. Class is very easy, but you have to do a sales presentation and the end of the semester, but that isn't hard at all. He will know your name by the end of the first month.
