He teaches because he cares, not because he needs a job, because he has another one where he makes at least 5 times the amount he makes as a teacher. Get to know this man, and become his friend. My favorite teacher at Ai. Class was fun, interesting, and thought provoking. He gives you the respect you deserve and will work with you with any problem you could possibly have whether is class or just life. I am very thankful to have had John as a teacher. Class is a breeze as long as you are engaged and care. A+ Dr. John!

A great professor! Engaging and relevant assignments and discussion, sometimes controversial material but Dr. John always maintains a relaxed atmosphere that makes it easy to feel comfortable and contribute. I feel privileged having been able to learn from him.

Talented professor, although antiquated in knowledge of his field. Dare somebody mention Dr. Wilhelm Reich, the antithesis of the DSM4-TR. Psychology is a fake science used to socially and chemically repress human libido. I think that Dr. John knows this, but cannot mention it, as it would contrdict the entire concept of psychotherapy.

AWESOME TEACHER!!! His class was really very helpful to me. he is one of the nicest people at this college and cares about his students. he shows lots of videos and tries to make class as fun and meaningful as possible. I really liked his class and hope to take abnormal psychology sometime.if u get a chance to have john take him great guy

Dr. Gostan is one of the most energetic and engaging professors I've ever had. He utilizes informal discussion and debate as a means by which to educate his students. His easy charm and avuncular wit facilitates the learning process by making it fun and accessible for students to learn about politics and psychology. A fantastic professor!!
